I did a few times years ago when I was recovering from BV and the antibiotic started a nonstop yeast infection. The doctor thought my flora had really been upset. So, I used a home made vinegar and water solution once or twice a week for a few weeks. I also took Acidophilus for the problem. It was only under doctor's suggestion. I wouldn't do it otherwise. It was many years ago.
I haven't done it since, and I don't plan to.

I have only a couple of times, though I prefer not to because I know that it throws off the balance down there and is very unhealthy.
I did douche a couple of times in about a one week time-frame, (personal story alert) after I had miscarried and needed a D&C, the bleeding and pain that followed for over a week were awful, especially the bleeding. It was like a very heavy period, but my physician said for me it was to be expected so I was at least prepared. But I felt so unclean by the end of it as the bleeding started to slow down, that I went ahead and did douche, and then again about a week later.
I have only decided to douche on one other occasion, again during a very heavy period after starting a new form of birth control, but aside from that, never have and hope to never need to again.

Wow, I didn't know so many people were were so anti-douche. I guess I am the odd one out again.
I do it every few months or so and I've never had problems with it. I only use unscented ones.
This is the first time EF community members made me feel bad for doing something, though.

No--when I was 12 or 13 I was told that it's bad for you, and everything I've heard/read since then has confirmed that, so it never even occurred to me to douche.
