I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, but this just hurts too much and I still can't even get 1.5" past it. I'm considering trying 1.25" since it feels like it's SO CLOSE, but I'm kind of meh on it and feel like I'd rather talk to my doctor before buying something else.

My hymen wasn't that hard to break. Broke the first time I had sex, but I'd been a gymnast from the time I was 4 until 12 and strangely enough, it never broke during that time.

PS. I realize you KNOW your hymen's still there. That's totally possible. To others though, it can be extremely painful when something rams there and you feel it hit, hurt and whatever your using (dildo, penis) stops/is blocked from going deeper. That can also be your cervix. It's a round little thing up there with a tiny hole or slit in it (your opening to the uterus) Alot of women describe that pain and think it's a hymen when it's really their cervix. I'm not talking about your Chirple. This conversation though, reminded me of this happening. Anyways, when you're aroused the vagina elongates and the cervix is a bit harder to reach or hit. if you've ever used a dildo or vibe and in the beginning it felt painful when it hit and a few mins later you're able to insert deeper with no pain. That's just the cervix in those cases. It can be extremely painful when it's hit, if you've ever bruised it with hard toys, you know what I mean!

I was 3-ish I fell off some caterpillar playground thing and straddled one of the bars. Bleeding from my vagina, doctors at the ER said my hymen was damaged but still intact, and there were no further injuries.

On my 5th birthday I was playing on a historical monument of a canon at the local part, fell off and straddled the sharp iron arm of one of the seats in the front. I believe mine was broke the first time I was fingered, so I'd say that was easy. I remember a little blood and pain, but nothing bad.

tampon did it. sporty people tend to thin theirs out =P did the doc even suggest having it removed? ^_^ they have plastic surgery to make them so why not to break them?

Sorry to hear that, truly. My wife's was relatively easy to break the first time we had sex, but I would ask your doctor about surgery rather than living with disappointment and pain.

I never really experienced a "breaking." I mean, I used toys from a youngish age, never experiences pain, and lost my virginity without any notable pain, either. *shrugs*

If I were you I would look into having it surgically removed. My friend recently had that done and is happy with it. She just had a couple days of tenderness and then it was all good. You usually don't even need stitches.

I'd suggest seeing your doctor and perhaps getting it surgically removed (the things they do, these days!). Good luck.

I didn't have to do this, but my hymen finally gave way after being a total bitch for a few months of having sex.

I have never experienced blood, just pain....so I don't know if it's still intact or not. I have never asked my doctor while she is down there. I actually experience a bit of pain whenever I use my Mustang after a while. Maybe my hymen is still intact...

The hymen doesn't break, it only stretches and sometimes tears a little with penetration. That being said mine, with years of masturbation and super tampons, is well stretched out.

Mine was tough to get used to insertion, but my hymen never broke, it's just very stretched.

I never really had a hymen, but my partner has the same issue you have. We tried tapered toys and gradually stretching over a period of days. If you don't stretch regularly it goes back to its original position.

I'm pretty sure I broke mine while I was on my first period. I accidentally put a tampon in before removing my old one (anxiety of a friend rushing me in a middle school bathroom). I had to pull them both out and they came out side by side. When I lost my virginity I experienced pain from being tense but no blood or anything of the sort.

Mine was a bitch. We had attempted intercourse once or twice, the pain was horrific, so we had to stop and try another time. Eventually, we found the most comfortable position we could, put down a towel, broke it quick, and stopped there. After a few days, everything was fine, and sex was a go. But boy that was not a fun process.
