Could it be that the butt plug was taking up too much space and therefore making the vaginal canal too tight for that sized vibe?

I would say try one of the Evolved slim vibes. Those are really thin, but they have some nice vibrations.

This has happened to me. The pressure of a butt plug can make you extra tight and if your already tight make it almost impossible to insert. Also diff. times of the month your cervix can shift, and make things tighter.

Sounds like when you get aroused you have such good blood flow you swell slightly, just enough to make penetration with any object other than a penis problematic. There isn't much you can do about that except use a very small or very soft dildo. You could also try laying on your side and slowly penetrating that way, or on your knees over a dildo with a base. It can sometimes be easier to relax those muscles if you are upright.

My guess would be that going without sex penetration for a while plus the surgery on your plumbing may have almost made your muscles go into Tonic State (really strong clamping.) I agree with Airen and say using a small, slim vibe or dildo to open the muscles gently would probably be safest. If it's still a no-go, you might want to talk to your doctor.

Vaginismus doesn't often happen to women with sexual experience, but with all you have been through in recent days, it might be a very MILD case of it.

You can do it! Just be patient and gentle.
