I never sleep with a tampon in! I am paranoid of TSS.

i only do so when my flow is heavy. but when i do i set an alarm for me to wake up so i can change it.

TSS can occur if it's left in past the suggested time like 6 - 8 hours or more. There are tampons that are made for overnight use and I use them just before going to sleep. Since I sleep for 6 hours, it's not an issue for me.

I don't use tampons at all...have heard too many bad things that can happen and had a negative experience when I was younger. I stick with pads the whole time!

When I used tampons, I slept with them in. I never slept for more than 9 hours so I wasn't worried about it. I put it in right before I went to bed and took it out right when I got up. If I used pads to sleep in, I had a blood mess all over myself and the bed. Not cool with me! Now I used a divacup, though, and that can stay in for 12 hours. I just take it out within a couple hours of when I'm going to bed, dump it out and clean it, and put it back in. Then when I take my morning shower, I clean it again. Much easier and no TSS scares.

I do sleep with a tampon in, though I don't sleep for more than 8 hours so it's never really a problem. I double up with a tampon and a pad though, because if I just used one of either my bed would be a MESS since my periods are so heavy (even with super plus I change every 1-3 hours depending on where i'm at in my cycle and pads alone are never a good idea due to the heaviness and how much I roll around while sleeping).
