I'm not usually one for euphemisms, so I usually just say I'm having my period. If I'm feeling the need for delicacy I'd probably say something like "that time of the month." LOLing at "Auntie Flo"--that one has always made me cringe, and I can't imagine anyone saying it...

I call it either being "on my period" or "vamp week" (blood made me think of vampires when I was younger and I guess it stuck). Going to Oklahoma is pretty crafty though, I wouldn't have thought of that.

How interesting! I had never heard of a lot of those.

I say "I'm ON my period." When I'm talking about it to family, my partner or friends who know what my periods are like, I call it "my curse." That actually is something I say quite often. I've had endometriosis and other stomach yuckies that have caused my periods to be nothing short of pure misery. I've gotten a lot better, but symptoms are still pretty severe. It's a curse. For sure. No doubt about it. There is no way in hell I'd refer to my curse as a blessing. No sir!
