i want my kid to know all about sex. and toys would just be an extra thing to talk about. being open about sex to kids is not a bad thing

I would probably take them to a trusted website and let them buy something. I wouldn't want them to be embarrassed but I also wouldn't want them getting their hands on toys some other way. Who knows what the quality would be or where they would be going or what they would be doing to get one otherwise.

I will never have children, but the idea of my mom talking to me about sex toys makes me so incredibly uncomfortable...

I said I would, but only if the child wanted me to. If they weren't comfortable, weren't interested, didn't want me there, whatever - that's perfectly okay, too.
