I use a silicone Lunette Cup, it's so much cleaner and less irritating than either of the choices.

I use pads because tampons give me bacterial infections no matter how "up" I stay on changing them, and cups irritate my vaginal walls to the point where I'm sore for up to three days after my last day.

I use tampons usually, pads if its a lighter day. I really want to try a cup, but it's not really something I'd be comfortable with right now since I live in a dorm and share a bathroom. Don't really want to be cleaning that out in front of all my hallmates.

I wish there was an "other" option, because I prefer them both for different reasons.

I usually use pads AND tampons (pads during the day/night, tampons in the shower, or if I have an early flow), but I'm tempted to buy a Lunette Cup.

I can't stand tampons, they hurt me. So I'm stuck with pads... This thread makes me interested in menstrual cups though.

I use a menstrual cup too! On heavy flow days I'll use a pad as a back-up, but I will do whatever I can to avoid using a tampon. There's a Youtube video that shows tampons in glasses of water and from the experiment, you can see that they leave behind little particles. They're not pleasant to stick into vaginas.

Sorry I couldn't find the exact video. All that I could find were silly videos of people playing around with tampons in water.

I love, love, love my Diva Cup. I'm totally not surprised about the left behind particles. The cup is such low maintenance and I forget I even have my period sometimes!

I'm physically unable to use tampons or cups. I have a really heavy flow anyways so pads or depends are just the most logical option for me.

Pads. I used to prefer tampons although they tend to give me yeast infections even though I traded them out often

I use both, because my periods are too fucking heavy even with birth control. Even then, I leak.

Of course, my gyno doesn't want to do anything like scrape my uterus because I'm 20. So I still have to use the Pill. XX

Ditto! I use a silicone Diva Cup. I find it much cleaner and less irritating as well. Pads make my skin irritated, and tampons can sometimes be painful to remove for me. Diva Cup is perfect for me!

I prefer cloth pads. They're comfortable and I don't feel like I'm sitting in a little blood puddle. They also don't hurt me while tampons do.
