I just started a blog and want to be involved in the affiliate program...

Hello. Can someone tell me if I can apply for the affiliate program with a newly created blog? I know that the affiliate site says the blog needs to be at least 3 months old. Did anyone else start their blog when they found out about the affiliate program and were able to participate in the program?

Hi!

You are welcome to become an affiliate, no matter how long your blog has been up. The three-month-old-blog requirement applies to blogger reviews, sponsored posts, etc., but not to the affiliate program.

Here's a tutorial for signing up.

Thank you Kris. I have my affiliate code but I'm just not sure how to use it. I have a blog and everything set up.

Here's a quick rundown of our online affiliate tools:

Text links
You can build a text link on your own like this: Take any URL on EdenFantasys.com (homepage, product page, review page, forum page, anything!) and add #pcode-XXX to the end of it, but replace XXX with your affiliate code. So, the URL to the homepage would look like this: http: // edenfantasys.com/ #pcode-XXX (but without the spaces) The only exception to this method is for pages that already have a # in the URL. For those pages, you would add -pcode-XXX instead of #pcode-XXX.

You can also build a text link with the Get URL / My URL buttons in the nav bar (make sure you're in "Affiliate" mode instead of "Contributor" mod). Navigate to the page you want to link to, click Get URL, then you can click My URL and copy the HTML from the page.

Banners
Banners are available here. To navigate to the page, click Account (top left corner once you're logged in) >> Affiliate Program >> Get banner. Find a banner you like and copy the code into your blog.

Widgets
Widgets can be made by following the directions on this page. The instructions start in the section "How Does it Work? My Desktop."

If you have any questions, feel free to email partners@edenfantasys.com.
