I'm a hoarder, by all means! For instance with DVDs, I have several copies of the same DVD because if I like it enough and a "special" edition comes out (like Reservoir Dogs in the metal package) I HAVE to have it. I have all these books people say I should sell but I just can't bear to part with them! I know I haven't read a certain book for 5 years but I never know when I want to read it again.

Then I guess you're good at hiding things! I'm lucky enough to have my place all to myself and the only people even here on a regular basis are my boy and my two best friends.

You're probably right! I actually have a B&N Nook, but my husband has appropriated it for his "leisure" reading, which is usually historical nonfiction or contemporary world events. His books look a little odd up beside my collection of erotica, fantasy, romance and the like.

If I know I'm gonna want the special edition of something I'll normally try to wait until that comes out. Except for like, the 10 year stuff. Then I'll buy a cheap copy now and get the good stuff later, lol

I love looking at a couple's book collection. Sometimes you can easily tell what belongs to who, and sometimes the lines blur..

I suppose that makes sense...I'm very lucky to have been raised in a very liberal environment...my mom knows I write here and is happy for me because I like the community and it gives me a place to write.

I think Kristina really hit on the key of busy lives and more to get done in less time. Technology has made our lives easier in many ways but at the same time, because we can do more in less time we end up having to do more in less time. We move from task to task and our own ability to focus on something for an extended period of time can suffer. The short story and the concept of a quickie appeals to our need or desire to get a quick taste of fun and move on to the next thing.

Ours is pretty easy. I read pre-teen/teen novels along with erotica and sex books, and his collection is all sci-fi crap.

I just told my mom that I review here. We had an awesome conversation about how glass pieces are made, lol

Is that your way of confessing to reading Twilight? LOL

Speaking of collections, I think a couple of people have mentioned books in their to-be-read pile. So what's next on your list of must-reads? As for me, I'm itching to dig into Rachel Kramer Bussel's FAST GIRLS. I do have a story in that collection and the rest of the lineup looks awesome.

Actually, no. I read other stuff like Megan Cabbot (spelling?) and other random novels. I'm a picky reader when it comes to non-sex books, but when it comes to sex books, I honestly will pick up and read anything humanly possible. I love new information.

I love looking at collections, too! A few years ago, I asked readers to send me pictures of their book/porn collections — like this one by Donna George Storey:

She thought glass vibrators are so cool. And while I haven't shown her any of my toys, I've shown her lingerie and massage stuff.

I've never actually read erotica and I need to start. They have a large selection at a bookstore nearby and I think I'm going to have to pick something up there tomorrow to keep me busy in the hospital.

Next up I have Best Fetish Erotica, and then "Alison's Wonderland," another compilation edited by Alison Tyler - I haven't seen this one on EF yet though, has anyone? Also, I just added another book to my 'buy' list today called "Have a Minute?" - another Alison Tyler comp.

I has Fast Girls. Nyaaaaah.

Right now, my list of books I want to read (but don't own. So not including the haven't read yet pile.):
Fairy Tale Lust
Crossdressing
Sweet Life
Best Fetish Erotica
Caught Looking
C is for Coeds

And that's just my must-reads off the top of my head. My EF "Books" wishlist on here has like 50 books.

I have a friend whose boyfriend's mother used to buy her lingerie and massage oils and the like. It freaked her out! She never actually used any of the stuff because of who it came from as a gift...kind of icky and awkward.

I'd highly, highly recommend "Do Not Disturb" as long as cheating stories wouldn't bother you. It's my favorite erotica book out of all I've read so far.

My fiance's mom got us satin sheets, although that was a fluke. She just happened to legitimately end up with a set that she didn't need and our bed was the right size.

We do joke that we wouldn't take any condoms from his mom, but that's cuz she's crossing her fingers for grandbabies like crazy, lol

Alison's Wonderland is my first Harlequin collection — 27 stories, 416 pages.
If you liked Pirate Treasure in Frenzy, you'll be interested to know that the author, Janine Ashbless, has a much talked about Snow White story in AW.
Hope you like Got a Minute, too. This one just received a brand-new cover and a stellar intro by one of my favorite writers ever: Thomas Roche!

I don't think they would really bother me, I'll have to check it out. Thanks
