I read your review and it really intrigued me. I think I'll look for that because I don't know how, if at all, cheating stories will affect me. Time to find out

I'm curious about whether most readers of short erotica take one bite at a time--one story--or pop them in one right after another, like cherries or grapes. Does one very short story work well because you can squeeze it into a short space of available time and then go on to whatever else you need to do, or do you tend to read more stories at one go because there's an illusion that you're not using up too much time?

It's a whole different question, but I also wonder whether one-at-a-time with space between makes you appreciate individual stories more than eating the whole box of chocolates at once. Assuming you can stop, which I generally can't.

Do you guys think it's harder to write a review for a book or a sex toy?

If you don't like the book, you could always sell it on eBay? lol

If you liked Pirate Treasure in Frenzy, you'll be interested to know that the author, Janine Ashbless, has a much talked about Snow White story in AW.
Hope ... more
I'm SO excited about Alison's Wonderland And Pirate Treasure was one of my favorites so that gives me even more to look forward to!

I suppose it's the nature of hotel rooms that some of the stories were about cheating. For the most part, it wasn't bad. It wasn't like they were being a butt about it - in one of them, a girl just got married and her "husband", instead of having sex with her on their first night married, makes her stand and hold the TV antenna while he masturbates to lesbian porn then falls asleep. She feels frigid and unloved until she goes out to the vending machine and meets another woman staying at the hotel.

It's not bad stuff, but some people honestly would morally have a problem with the content.

I find book reviews much, much easier, but I also feel like my book reviews tend to sound about the same. There's only so much I can write about a book to try and make it useful without re-writing the book.

I'd go with a book. There's just so much about media that you just can't account for in a review as far as different people's personal tastes. Like some people want a scene by scene breakdown of videos, but others hate seeing that. Some people have reviewed some books by giving a short synopsis of some of the stories, others by touching on how the stories flow together. I've only written one book review for erotica so far, and it was easier than The Gay Man's Kama Sutra, lol

I usually end up reading a good chunk of stories at once. I might put it down every four stories or something to work on homework or something like that, but then I'll come back to it. It's like a treat for doing something I totally don't want to do.

I personally have an easier time with book reviews, but maybe because on toy reviews I'm so anal about making sure I cover every base - safety, storage, compatibility, uses, who's it for... with books it flows a little more naturally to me.

I'll normally read a few stories at a time, then set it down and come back to it.

It was a good story. A lot of the other stories tended to be a bit more emotional than other erotica because of the nature of hotel rooms - long lost lovers, an escape from real life, all of those things.

No matter what I write about a book review, I always feel like it should be more useful than it really is. I feel like it's always lacking in something, but I just can't give it much more than I already had.

It sounds perfect because I'm going to visit my boyfriend next month and we are getting a hotel room as a mini vacation away from everyone. This could spark up some fantasies and conversation

I've never written a review for a book before, so I can't honestly say. It seems, to me, that a book review would be harder to write. You have to summarize the book without giving away too many details. Also, it seems like after a while, book reviews would just start to sound redundant..

If it helps I really like your book reviews!!! And it's just more difficult to gauge a book review's usefulness as opposed to a toy - there's no checklist of things to cover and opinions can vary so much more.

It's a collection of stories about women who take charge of their sexuality-- fast girls. My story is called "Chasing Danger" and is a play on the theme in that the protagonist is a highway patrol officer who likes the power and speed of her job and looks for that kind of adrenaline rush in her sex life.
