I found out 3 days ago that if you've had a hysterectomy, they can get lost. Its been 3 days. I thought I just wasn't relaxing enough. Now, I'm wondering when I should call the doctor

The probability that it is actually "lost" is very very low as in not really possible. If you have medical insurance with a company that has a "call a registered nurse" option, then make that call for reassurance. But rest assured that your vagina is NOT open to the inside of your abdominal cavity, so it is NOT lost.
I hope that helps you to feel better about this.

RonLee is absolutely right!
It is impossible for Kegel balls to get lost inside your vagina because there is no way for them to go through, vagina is closed from the body even if a person had a hysterectomy.
The worst but still unlikely thing that might happen is Kegel balls can get stuck inside, but even in this case, they won't get lost.
To avoid this trouble choose Kegel balls with a string to make removing them easier and use lubricants.
But if you feel any discomfort, I would advise not to delay your visit to a doctor.
