What can I do to get the extra wax to burn in my candle. It seems to be burning only in the center and the edges of the candle are still pretty high. What should I do to fix this? So far I'm cutting the leftover pieces with a knife and putting them in the burning candle but it doesn't always work.
My massage oil candle is burning unevenly? How do I fix it.

I had a friend who worked in a candle shop, the staff used to tell customers to burn the candle (the first time using it) one hour for each inch in diameter. So if the candle is 4" across, burn it for four hours before you extinguish it. This isn't always perfect, but it usually helps burn more evenly.
