Help!! New to the hair removal "down there". I think shaving is the way to go for me but I don't know how to. Razor? Trim first? How often? Cream, lotion, soap? Is Nair safe for genitals?
Help! I need shaving tips!

Seriously try a Brazilian. Shaving itches when it grows back in. It only hurts for a second.

If you're aiming for completely bare, do yourself a favor and trim first with either scissors or an electric razor.
If you try to shave straight away with a blade you will quickly clog the razor and dull the blade. It's better to trim first, then use moisture rich cream and a brand new blade for a second pass to get the area silky smooth.
If you try to wax hair longer than ½", it is more likely to break and be extremely painful. Trim it first to ¼". If you've never waxed before, go to a salon. It's something best left to professionals the first few times. Once you familiarize yourself with the process and know you can stand the sting, then you can try it at home.

Ugh I suck at this, I shave but I hate it because HotMama is right, it does itch like all hell, I tried an at home waxing once but it hurt and didn't even pull out the hair, maybe I could try a professional but I don't even know where I'd find someone who waxes

Depilatories are not save for genital use.
Yes you should trim before shaving.
The more you shave the faster your skin will adapt - daily or every other day is best.
Use a high-end multi-blade razor like the Gillette fusion
I use hair conditioner as a shave cream - it's just like coochy-cream but cheaper
Consider an after shave specifically made for sensitive skin - you can find them on EF
Also consider using an exfoliating scrub before shaving to prevent ingrown hairs.
It sounds like a lot - but my wife and I are hooked on the smooth-on-smooth aspect of sex. It makes both of us far more sensitive to all types of stimulation - including oral.

I use good old fashioned, dye-free and perfume-free conditioner to shave.
I always shave against the grain while holding the skin tight. It just produces a better result.
I use a four-blade men's razor, (Schick Quattro). I rarely have cuts or knicks.
I think the most important aspect is to keep the skin pulled as tight as you can as you go over the area.
Good luck!

Shaving only seems to cause irritation for some people. I've shaved "down there" for years, and I've never experienced any itching when it grows back in.
