Toy Cleaning: Wipes, or Rinse?

Contributor: sweetpea12 sweetpea12
When I'm done with my toys I love to clean them with toy wipes. But they get really expensive because I go through them so fast. So most of the time I just rinse them off with warm water and soap. But it's just so much easier and "controlled" when I use a wipe. What do other people do?

I'd be worried that using a wipe would leave behind residue that wouldn't agree with my genitals. I prefer to just use water and soap.

Most of my toys are safe to sterilize, so I have a cold sterilizer bath for toys that can be placed in there, I also like to drop them in a 10% bleach solution but that is more time consuming than just a wipe-down.

If I'm in a hurry, I'll go with warm water and an antibacterial soap, but I agree with you. Fastest, simplest way to get it done is with a toy wipe! I, too, hate the expense though!

I like the Eden wipes for quick clean up but if I have time or have things got really messy I'll wash with soap and water.

I will sometimes use baby wipes initially, but always give them a thorough wash with anti-bacterial.

I use both, but after playing I usually have to stumble to the bathroom to pee anyway, so it's usually a rinse in the sink.

Climax Burst toy cleaner and warm water. The wipes are nice too.

Sometimes I just bring a wet rag with some anti-bac soap and wipe it down after, then wait till I know my roommate is mia before making the trek to the bathroom to wash. Though wipes would be easier...

Wipes are handy when I'm feeling lazy, unless there's a lot of lube everywhere, in which case washing under the tap is the only way to go.

I usually use antibacterial soap and warm water.

This is partially because the only wipes I own weren't made for toys, and I worry about having a bad reaction to them.

I'll use a wipe when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to get up and go into the bathroom to use the sink. But even then I usually will rinse it off later on before the next use because I'm leery of the chemicals in the wipes and don't want the residue of them in my lady bits.

I give them a bath in hot water with soap. I feel like that's thorough.

If I don't feel like getting up and cleaning them after use, I'll use the Eden wipes, then later on I'll give it a thorough washing. Some of the wipes are expensive, so I'm grateful for the 20 packages I have that I get free with my purchases.
