A Certain Company's Toys Keep Breaking...

Contributor: tigerkate tigerkate
I was wondering if anyone has the same experience as me, and what they'd do about it other than submitting for a return.

Maybe I just have bad luck, but it seems the Evolved products I buy break on me. I was very excited for my Bendable You Too, and it broke within 10 minutes of me turning the toy on. It's not just that product either.. I'm kind of hoping that I'm the lucky one that keeps getting this faulty duds.

But I'm wondering, has anyone else had this experience with a certain company's toys breaking? Would you stop buying products from them?

I haven't had that bad of an experience with any company so far. So far only one toy has really broken on me, the wanachi mini. Sorry your have such bad luck with evolved.

Actually I have never had a problem with them. I think half my toys are from that company with no problem. Sorry for the bad luck though.

I've never had a problem with an Evolved toy, they actually tend to last pretty much forever for me. I have had this problem with another company though, a large and popular one sold here on EF. Thankfully, that particular company kicks ass when it comes to replacing broken toys and does so easily with little hassle. So far, it's been worth it to me to continue to buy them because I know I can get them replaced.

And anything you get from EF should be able to be returned if defective, with no problems at all. It's really up to you - if you love the toys and they're worth the slight hassle factor to return, keep buying. If not, they might just not be a good toy line for you (which stinks, cause they do make nice products ).

I plan on returning it as soon as I can get to a kinkos or the library to print out the return label..
I'm debating right now getting a refund gift card, or replacing it with a new one.

I was originally hesitant getting it, just because of my history with broken items, but I was like "It's such a well-known, dependable company!"
I feel like it might just be Murphy's Law with me. -sigh-

I'm thinking of just getting the gift card and adding points up to get a luxury toy instead.

I haven't had any problems with Evolved either. They are among my favorites.

I know this is fairly old now...but I have this experience, but with the California Exotics toys!

I think it's just a run of bad luck for me though, I have had other toys from them last me years! But recently, every toy I have gotten from them has either arrived unusable or has broken within 30 minutes of use.

I have that issue with California Exotics myself. I used to sell Pure Romance and CE is who makes their toys. Usually anywhere from a few months after getting the toy to a year, the motors would completely go out of the toys and they would be useless. They seem to have a year-long shelf life.
