I only just got into the sex toy scene in February. Since then, I have accumulated about 20 or so toys, pretty much all of them on sale. I still live with my dad, and our relationship is such that I can be like, "Hey, I'm buying and reviewing sex toys" and he'll be totally fine with it. But as the packages keep rolling in, he is getting concerned that I may have an obsession! All I could think is that compared to a lot of y'all, my collection is pretty meager. I read in a random discussion that someone had 40 glass pieces alone. I consider it a hobby to be honest. I like collecting them. Do you think we're crazy for having a lot of toys? Are we "obsessed" as my dad would say? I personally don't think so.

No, you are not obsessed--you have a healthy curiosity to find and use items to enhance your sex life. Some items are going to be great and others...not so good.

I don't think you're crazy or obsessed My husband will still roll his eyes on occasion when the boxes come, but it is an entertaining (and pleasurable) hobby.

It's like any other collecting hobby. Ask a random collection - like model airplane collector - why they have to have so many when an airplane is an airplane, and they'll go off into a twenty-hour lecture on the differences between each and every model they own.

Nah, I don't think we're any crazier than people who collect other things. It's just that people have a lot of hang ups about things concerning sex. I'm sure if you compare it to a more mainstream collecting he'll understand.

Crazy!? No my friend, you are becoming an informed consumer. I would liken it to your local ice cream shop. How do you know what you like if you only try 1 flavor?
I would say you are more than a hobbyist. You are becoming an enthusiast, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as it doesn't consume your life. America and the world desperately needs more sex positive people.
