i have been looking through a lot of the ankle and wrist restraints and cuffs on eden the last few days and im somewhat torn. I know that the "more experienced" bondage or fetish folks will say that only high quality and the most expensive are worth it....but im wondering which type is better? I have seen real leather/fake leather-some with fur and some without. im wondering which ones are more comfortable? some say that some of them dig into their skin, while others say they are just fine.
Are you looking for light or heavy restraints? Pretty much everything, including velcro-closure cloth cuffs, will work for light restraint (by light, I mean that you want to feel restrained, you want to be able to tug against the restraints without freeing yourself, but you don't care if it can restrain you against real thrashing).
If you're looking for heavier restraints (holds up to thrashing and really trying to pull yourself out), you'll want something like the Jaguar cuffs. I don't know own these particular ones, but I've used leather restraints. They will dig in a bit/leave marks if you're really struggling against them (but they dig in less after they're broken in, which takes a while). I think there are leather buckle-closure cuffs somewhere on Eden that are padded...
You can't go wrong with the Jaguar wrist cuffs. They are very nice, but Eden does not currently carry the matching ankle cuffs. You mentioned that you are looking at both wrist and ankle cuffs, so this may be an issue for you.
If you are in fact looking for a matched set I'd make two suggestions. First, if you are looking for leather and comfort I'd go with the Spartacus Purple fur lined cuffs.
If you are looking for something less expensive and very comfortable, I'd suggest the Plushy Gear cuffs. They are very comfortable while being both quite secure and reasonably priced...perfect for light to medium play.
For comfort, the Hearts Leather Cuffs, simply because they don't require as much breaking in time as the Jaguar cuffs do. But overall, I prefer ASLAN's leather, so I personally prefer the Jaguar cuffs.

we're just looking for now. probably something that is "light", i guess you would say. nothing too crazy or kinky.
SportsSheets Cuffs and Tether are a nice set of velcro closure cuffs, they're comfortable, (they fit either my wrists or my ankles, but I'm tiny, most people may need a larger cuff for ankles, which SportsSheets also makes) they are fairly unintimidating (as BDSM toys go) and are really versatile.
