Difference in male(anal) and female(anal/vaginal) preference on textured toys???

Contributor: Steve of Eden Steve of Eden
Ok, I was talking with some friends... and I was wondering what everyone thinks...

It seems that it is more common for men to like using more pronounced nubbed, ribbed, or other textured toys than women do... Apparently it is uncomfortable for a lot of women during vaginal play when the texture is too raised or rigid, but men seem to like the more pronounced textures for anal play...

Is this just my circle of friends or is this more universal???

And women, is there a difference in preference for texture when it comes to vaginal and anal play for yall???

Thanks...

I like smooth toys for both (I can handle texture much better anally, tough). For anal use, I prefer rigid materials, while I keep softer toys mainly for vaginal use (some rigid toys I like vaginally)

Women seem to prefer softer toys vaginally too I have noticed... thanks for the input...

I like a little texture for vaginal, but anal not really. Too much texture for vag can be hard for thrusting though.

I don't like any texture for vaginal use, but I like some for anal. I prefer hard toys for both.

I like harder, smoother toys for vaginal use. Very little texture, if any.

I like smooth toys for vaginal and anal use - texture makes the insertion painful. However, I do adore textures toys for my clitoris.

The shape of the toy determines if I like texture on it. For smaller anal toys, texture can be nice. But with bigger toys and dildos, I definitely like them smooth. In general, I usually prefer smooth toys just because I have to be really turned on to use a textured toy.

It depends on size, material and use (male BTW, so I'm using them anally). For small, more stationary toys I can get away with more, but for larger, stiffer toys it can get to be too much.

My anus is very sensitive, so I like a mix of very very gentle texture (to stimulate at the anus) and larger, rounded bumps (stimulate at the anus and also feel good against the prostate). A toy with lots of small ridges or veins can get very irritating, especially if it's thrust rapidly.

Interesting!

I love a lot of texture vaginally, but I tend to like smoother textures anally. (Anally, I like mild texture, like the Gold Laced G or Gold Swirled Probe, or totally smooth, textureless probes, but not sharply raised swirls like the Pink Swirl or Bumpy Spiral Double Dong.)

Vaginally, I like as much texture as you can throw at me. The two bumpier dildos I listed above I like vaginally, and also intense things like the Pikilo and the G Brush.

I think, I probably *could* take the more intense things anally, but I don't really need to because I can enjoy them vaginally (and my vagina's a little less fragile than my ass, I assume?). If I was a man, I would probably go for the strong texture anally because that would be my only option.

I don't really like soft toys at all. I mean, I suppose if I were ever to be fucked by a female-bodied partner who was strapped, I would love the silicone cock, but for masturbation, for when my Mr uses toys on me, I prefer rigid toys (and I prefer glass or steel), though non-plush silicone vibrators are nice as well (my Mr's hard cock is very nice... jus' sayin'). As for texture, I like my swirled glass dildo. I have not tried a nubbed or bumped dildo. I do have one vibrator that is glass and nubbed, but the girth is too much for me to enjoy the texture. If it were a more slender dildo with the texture, I would probably enjoy it very much.

I don't do much anally, so yeah.

I can't squeeze glass or steel in my hand. I can squeeze my hand around it but there's no give. My favorite vibrator is the G-Ki and it's not plush anywhere either. It's fairly firm all over so that it can bend. It provides nice firm pressure to my g-spot. It's fantastic. One of the only insertable vibrators I use routinely. (which reminds me, I need to charge it)

Oh, I thought we were talking about texture! But if we're talking about how hard something is---I really don't like soft toys much, the only exception is the one VixSkin cock I have.

It seems to me that everything that's made to feel "realistic" is waaaay more squishy that a real hard cock, and I only like things that are as hard as a cock or even harder. Glass, metal, wood... there are some silicone things that don't give very much, like the Jollie and the Jollies Bandito. But like my Tantus Echo---I love the texture, but I would love it so much more if it didn't squish.

I like hard and soft toys both anally and vaginally. I have glass toys, and super soft silicone toys. Depends on my mood.
I like texture most of the time for both. Most of my toys have a lot of ribs or nubs on them Feels great no matter how I use them

I generally dislike texture on my anal toys, unless it's a dual density toy like Vixskin or O2, which make the texture much softer and non-irritating.
