There are a couple of nice stores here, but they just don't have the selection of higher end toys that Eden has. They have mostly jelly type toys, which I'm not really a fan of. Plus, there are no reviews in a brick and mortar store, and the review program here is just so helpful. I haven't shopped in a brick and mortar store for years and years.

I prefer to buy online more, since there's such a big selection and so many places that are trustworthy, AND the bonus of being able to browse reviews before you buy. But I do like going to physical shops occasionally. Unfortunately, there's only one adult store in the area that isn't skeevy (My firefox spellcheck wanted to correct "skeevy" to "skeet"... why on earth does firefox recognize "skeet!?")

I only ever buy online and haven't bought anywhere other than Eden most of this year.

I'll definitely agree that the review program here is fantastic. I have been deterred from buying certain toys I had my eyes on, and have been drawn to others that I may not have been in the first place all because of the reviews.

The last time I went into an adult store with my wife there was a really odd clerk working. He was balding but had really long greyish hair. He was older, had long finger nails, and spoke in a creepy gayish voice. Very creepy vibe and was not happy that we were in there. I've avoided stores ever since.

Sometimes, if I am in a bigger city and the store has a decent selection. I only shop online when Im in my town though, our porn shop is sketchy, overpriced and is mostly 100% jelly/rubber toys with a few plastic cheapos thrown in.

There are a couple of really nice stores here in town. Not seedy at all. I like to shop there from time to time, just to see what's new. They carry some things that EF doesn't carry. Also, there are some things that I just want to see before I spend the money. If it is a cheap or spontaneous purchase, I will buy at the store. Sometimes I don't want to wait for it. Other times it is just the convenience factor. For most things though, especially more expensive items, I go online.

My friend showed me yet another store downtown: Sexploratorium. It's like some high-scale boutique! Nary a jelly toy in sight, and we were even able to attend an Anal 101 workshop there! I'm definitely going back. I can still get stuff cheaper here on Eden, but it was nice to be able to hold the VixSkin Tex ahead of time.

If I lived somewhere with any decent sex shops I might browse them occasionally for certain things, especially small things like lube, cleaners, etc. and just for the chance to see items live, maybe handle demos or see how loud they are, etc. (If stores allow that). But there's only one shop here, it has a pretty limited inventory, and prices are 3-4 times what they are on Eden for the same item. Also they make you leave your bag at the register, which I don't mind much- apparently everyone in this town is repressed and it's created a big theft issue. However the fact that the clerks also follow like 2 steps behind you the whole time you are there annoys me. Treat me like a freakin' adult or I'm certainly not going to buy adult toys at your adult store.
Oops, I ranted. Anyway, no. I haven't had any reason to buy anything except lube and batteries in town & that I can do at Walgreens.
