I've bought a few things "in store", but I don't think I have purchased anything in a store since finding EF! I got my Hitachi in-store, but it was at an event and was 40% off! Also, the store I do still "frequent" offers 20% of to all "card carrying members" the first Tuesday of the month, and a wider selection the things like Coochy Creme (which I don't "need" at the moment, but the scent I have is getting "boring"), that if I can get it on sale, I will!
I'm cheap that way though... I used to do all my toys purchasing from another online retailer, but I find the prices here to be much better, and the deals are even better too!

There are only a couple of brick-and-mortar sex toy retailers in town, and... frankly, after browsing their online catalogue, I wasn't tempted to shop there. Phthalates ahoy!

I will usually go to a store to browse and take a look at stuff I see here in the flesh, but I'll usually end up going here or somewhere else online because it's just a better deal. Very occasionally I see something in the stores that I haven't seen here.

I've bought toys both in stores and on-line, sometimes you just can't beat feeling the toy and getting to know it better right there in the store, but online almost always has better deals and plentiful reviews (like EF!)

There is one store back near my hometown I got my Liv at. I knew I could buy her for slightly cheaper at certain places online, but on an ethical sort of level, I'm a huge supporter of local businesses, and this is a great one. My experience with them has always been fabulous, they have a great selection of stuff, and the people who work there are usually super helpful and friendly. It's a little cluttered, but all the same. It's not the best adult store ever or anything, but I still think it would be a shame for it to not be there. I try and buy things from there if they carry what I'm looking for.
When they don't have what I'm looking for (no store that I've found in the state carries Jimmyjane toys, for instance) I usually buy online.

I came to EF when my local Babeland Store here in Seattle, WA lacked a wide selection of affordable sex toys. I am now hooked; satisfied not only by superb customer service reps like beautiful Rachel K, but also the candid and valuable input of the EF community. Just between us, there is NO SALES TAX depending on the state you live in; which in some cases will almost buy you another toy!! Another reason to give thanks, especially to EF.com, is that the prices are competitive and they do offer discounts.

I bought two toys from a local sex shop, and the staff were the loveliest most wonderful fun people ever. They had events and raffles there too and I attended many of them, but they did not get enough business and they shut down about seven months ago. I don't think I'll buy from a shop again because I usually feel awkward in them.

I've browsed in stores with friends before but I've never made a purchase. I prefer to order here. Better deals and I love the community. However it is nice to scope out a toy in a store to really see the size/shape/function as that can be tricky to tell when ordering online at times. If EF didn't have something I wanted I would go elsewhere.

There just aren't any Sex Shops around me that I know of that are worth a damn. The ones I've been in don't have what I'm interested in - just a lot of the low quality stuff and a lot of awkward dildos.

My first toy purchases were made through PR beings I was a rep, but I've only shopped in store once. Wasn't the best of experiences. I was still kind of new to the whole world of toys and foreplay/young, and the sales person made me feel really uncomfortable. Thank god for online shoppin!
