Flying with sex toys? (Specifically to Texas)

Contributor: AlianneCimorene AlianneCimorene
I'm flying to Texas this summer for an internship that lasts 10 weeks, but as I was looking up what to pack I kept noticing weirdness regarding Texas's legal policies regarding said sex toys.
Anyone have any advice about what I should do as far as the pros and cons of carry-on or checked sex toys?
Should I just avoid the whole issue and mail them there?
Is there anything I should do to minimize the chance of loosing them if I check them, or avoiding embarrassment if I carry them on?
Thanks for any and all help, advice, comments, concerns, and so forth.

I checked the obscenity laws, and they seem to be specific to those who are sellers of sexual devices, not owners so long as it doesn't look like they are selling them.

You're better checking them then carry-on. Some vibrators, with their motors, can look threatening on X-rays. That, and you won't have to deal with the TSA officer breathing down your neck. But if you do want to carry-on, go for it, just be honest if they ask you. They've seen it before.

Hope that helps!

I'd carry them on, just take the batteries out and be prepared to answer any questions.
