For the latex-sensitive: is this a good idea?

Contributor: Eucaly Eucaly
I am thinking about getting silicone sleeves to use on toys of materials I don't like (such as jelly). Most people just use a latex condom, but I can't. I know there are such things as non-latex condoms, but they cost more and I don't like the idea of constantly throwing them away and filling up landfills.

Is using a reusable silicone sleeve a good idea?

I've never done it but it sounds like a good idea.

Sounds like a good idea provided the sleeve covers the entire toy.

I don't see why not. I use sleeves for my bullets and interchange them. I just clean them good and I don't share them.

Why even bother with jelly toys? Upgrade to silicone, glass or metal.

Silicone or nitrile (nitrile exam gloves are good for people sensitive or allergic to latex) covers would work.

I have the same issue. I'd love to hear from someone who's tried this.

Just get "natural" skin condoms that aren't latex. And they're not that much more expensive. Don't risk your sexual health for anything

Bump! I have been searching for info on this topic as well. It seems like a really good idea for a company to make a high quality silicone sleeve for the purpose of covering a low quality toy. Sort of like a heavy duty condom! But obviously where transmitting sensation to the "wearer" wouldn't be an issue and would be reusable, durable, truly non-allergenic,etc. I can't use any of my old toys my bodys become sensitive to the weird chemical thing... A product like this would be perfect. It would be nice to have an eden fantasys person weigh in on this with some product recommendations, besides just getting a whole new arsenal of vixskin toys! I'm sure we'll all get there eventually...

I have seen very few sleeves advertised as silicone and look to be of dubious quality. I wonder if making a material stretchy enough to fit over something else neccessitates the use of those nasty chemicals. Anyone???
