A lot of reviews here on Eden note the giftability of a toy when it comes in especially well-designed or durable packaging, but I always wonder... in what scenario do you give sex toys as gifts? Would the recipient be someone with whom you've openly discussed toy use or is it just assumed that they'd be interested? I gave my mother a menstrual cup as a gift and she was freaked out enough by that, I can't imagine gifting a toy!

I would LOVE to gift a starter clit vibe to my little sister if I ever got the inkling that she would like one. I think my mom would be very receptive to toys if she just looked, she loves erotica! I would totally talk to them both about it. However, I would only gift a toy to someone I knew wouldn't mind receiving a gift of that nature. Sometimes people have certain traditions about toys. My boy buys me vibes that he knows we can potentially use together and I think I would reciprocate However, it would not bother me to receive a gift from a close friend or family member.

I gave my friend a vibrator as a wedding present. We are very close and he and I often discussed sex toys before he got with his now wife. We would show each other what toys we had and such. I would help him pick out toys for his girlfriends. Since he didn't have any to use with his now wife I figured it would be nice to include that along with the more traditional wedding gifts I got for them. I told him I was getting it so they wouldn't open it in front of everyone, however he passed out drunk and apparently failed to mention to her that I was getting one for them. Apparently she opened it at the after party. I kinda think that's hilarious which is terrible of me.
