I think so. Once my wife pegged me with a VERY firm (and large) toy and I was sore for about a week in a way I've never been sore before or since.

Don't know if this counts, but I may have bruised my throat by practicing deep oral on a large toy. I had a serious sore throat! The next day, I couldn't even speak. I actually missed work because of it!!

It never happened to me. And I think the best advice here is to start slow (it's like a cliche for most of the things in life, right? )

I'd also pay attention to the size of the toy, especially if it's a glass one.
