I haven't, but mostly because we live with my mom and she probably doesn't want to see a dishwasher full of toys.

Never have, not sure I would. Then again, I often wonder about boiling them - do people keep a special pot to do it in, or do you rinse the pot and make the family some soup in the same pot later? I just couldn't do that myself.

I haven't put them in the dishwasher. It seems kind of like a waste to me because they have to be placed on the top rack and you can't use soap. The water in your dishwasher doesn't get hot enough to sanitize anything, it's the Heat Dry cycle that hits the recommended temperature for that.

I take a dutch oven, place it on the stove and heat the water to a boil. While that's coming to a boil, I rinse off all of my toys with soap and water to make sure lint, left-over lube/fluids and whatnot are off and then toss them in the pot. I let it come to a rolling boil, then I turn the eye off and let it sit for an hour.

Pot goes into the dishwasher, toys go on a lint-free towel to cool off and we start all over!

No, I have never put mine in the dishwasher but have also boiled them. By the way, I am curious why you put your keyboard in the dishwasher? I am assuming it no longer works?

We did once but then I told Alan that it was too wasteful to run a whole wash cycle for just a top rack worth of toys. Now we boil them or bleach them, and YES we have a specific pan that we use only for non-food things (like sanitizing toys and making candles).

Seems like there are more efficient ways to clean them unless you can fill 2/3rds of it.
