curious to see how many parents actually got to you all before the schools or peers.
How did you find out about the "Birds & the bees"

I learned about it in sex Ed. At least the basics. Everything else I have learned through experience with Master / my husband. He is a good teacher!

So my mom caught me spanking the monkey when I was thirteen. She told my dad. I'm white, family was uptight. He tried to explain it, but failed miserably. I said "Dad, just gimme' a subscription to Playboy and I'll learn as I go". So he did. That Christmas, I was the only thirteen-year-old on my block with a subscription to Playboy.

To be honest, I can't really remember a specific moment. I think I just figured it out eventually and asked my mom about it.

Porn. lol.
03/25/2012
I had to learn it for myself, I knew about it because I wasn't stupid, but I had to learn the details for myself. I used scarletteen mainly

I never had the talk with my parents. I suppose school and learning on my own.

Television

My friend looked up "sex" in the dictionary when we were about 9.

I learned about it from friends.

I learned about the very basic mechanics from my mom having "the talk". I learned about things like foreplay and orgasms from fanfiction.

5th grade sex ed, and my aunt gave me a book kinda like our bodies ourselves but written for pre-/teens.

I pretty much learned it on my own by reading encyclopedia.

I got neither "the talk" nor sex ed at school. I gleaned a lot from standup comedy and the discovery channel as a child, then from sex ed websites as a teen.

Overheard my mom telling my older sister. I was 5! Yay for learning young! Sex ed in school wasn't so helpful.... but in biology we have 'The STD Slideshow' that works pretty well...

I learned at home, I was probably in 4th grade. My parent's wanted to make sure I was informed and didn't get any bad information from rumors at school and stuff. My mom talked with me one-on-one and gave me some books (one of them was "It's Perfectly Normal", which I would recommend).
In middle school my sex-ed class was okay, but there was a lot of giggling and I didn't end up learning anything new. In high school my health class was terrible, and the only useful thing I got from it was CPR certification

Pretty much just from my friends and peers.

I stumbled in on my older brother's porn.

To be honest I'm not really sure. I know my parents had talked about/explained the biological side of the sex thing before I found out about sex as some kind of pleasurable act from peers/school/etc. But I know that my parents weren't especially forthcoming about any other sex related information beyond the "this is biologically how babies are made."

This. I looked it up in the dictionary when I overhead random bits of a conversation.

Pretty much self taught - but I did a lot of reading. It was always a source of pride that all my partners had orgasms early and often. At the time I felt that 'I was giving them' orgasms. I know know it's much more complicated than that - but a skilled lover makes her side of the equation easier. I look on my role now as a facilitator.

I really have no idea, I think it was probably just in tiny bits through reading, movies, and late night specials.

I was probably six or seven and I learned from my older cousin

I honestly don't even remember! Maybe from a collection of information from my parents, siblings, peers but I know I had it figured out by seven or eight.

learned mostly through school and girl scouts. I think my family would've talked about it more but they found it awkward and I never really asked.
