Depends heavily on the toy. I have low end things that last maybe 60 minutes before they die. I have high end things that I've had quite some time and they're still kicking.

I don't want some of them to die ever, I think the higher ones should last well over a year with many many hours on them.

Are you talking about motor life or the actual usability of the material? Most toys give you a time for their battery or charge life.
