No, thank goodness. I don't want kids, and my mother's able to accept that. My dad still thinks that one day I'll magically change my mind, but he doesn't pressure me.

I was pressured at your age, Bex. Lucky. Hah.

Though, once I came out of the closet my Mum became more comfortable with the reality that I'd be happier with fur children. I'm child-free by choice.

My mom only pressures me to have children when she's lecturing me on finding a cis-male partner -.-

No they got surprised with their first and so far only grandchild within a year of me, their only child getting married and are ok with waiting for the next one or me only having the one.

Pressure? No. I'm still fairly young. My mom does ask my sister and I every so often though, "so who will bring my grand babies first?" My sister and I point at each other.

Haha, nope. I had them before they ever wanted me to! Neither of mine were planned, I'm just apparently super fertile. Had my first at 20 and my second (and last) at 23.

My dad used to drop hints about being a good daughter meant having children. My mother on the other hand basically always said, if you want kids, you want kids. If you don't, don't worry about it!!!!

No. My parents think the world's too crazy now to be raising children in it. They were extremely supportive when I got my tubes tied.

On occasion, they have pressured me to some degree. I tell them that when they're financially stable enough to raise them, I'd be more than happy to punch out a couple puppies for 'em. This does two things: 1) it makes them go duh, having kids and being the one to raise them sucks the bank account dry and 2) reveals my stance without me having to explain WHY I refuse to have children.

Mine haven't said too much about kids. On the other hand, my mom has been on my case about why I'm still single

They pressure me NOT to! (I haven't finished school yet and admittedly married the wrong person.)

I think my mom finally gave up on that when I brought home a cat and introduced said feline as her new grandson. About a year later, my brother invited her over to meet her newest grandchild, a little gray tabby.

She came to the realization that all her grandchildren are going to furry with four legs!

I'm waiting for the day my mother will. She obviously wants me to but she's waiting til I officially tie the knot to really pursue it.
