Between my age and where I live, there is no way I can talk to anyone about our toys. I would be run out of the county and with hubby's job, we would be gone. I know that sounds sad and it is but that's just the way it is. We enjoy our time "behind closed doors" but we can't share it. I personally see nothing wrong with using toys but I don't think even my closest friend would accept it.

I do however express my thoughts and feelings about different orientaton as much as I can. Being a nurse, I get that opportunity often and use whenever I can. I also encourage safe sex as much as possible.

I may not have been able to help others come to using toys but it sure has enhanced our sex life! I love this community and really feel like I already know some of the reviewers. I've learned a lot from the forums and discussions so thanks to all who participate.

I've gotten my best friend intrigued by the idea of a vibrator, but she's still a virgin and a bit scared to use one. She's really interested in getting one.

This may make a few people cringe, but my Mom has become rather interested in sex toys as of late, and most of my friends tend to have a reaction similar to, "Ew. But it's your Mom!" To that I say, as much as some of us don't like to think about our parents being sexual, they are, and they can have a sex life too.

good for your mom!!! Us "older" folks do still have sex and it for us, it is better than ever. My daughter would be cool with talking about us having sex and she has even said as long as we are happy, she doesn't care what we do. Our son is a little more of the "ew...." and tells us that we give him more information that he wants to hear...lol

When my Mom's happy, I'm happy. :p I'm even educating her on what materials are safe for toys. She turned 67 this past March and she's always learning, and I feel proud to be helping her in anyway I can. It's the least I can do for the extraordinary woman who brought me into this world.

I have introduced a few freinds to EF and tried to help them become more satisfied with there sex life and simply be more sexually open. I just find it so shocking that some people shun sex toys and sexuality. It is an important part of my life, I would find it hard to live somewhere that I felt sort of oppressed all the time. I imagine thats how homosexuals (gay and lesbiens) feel very often. It is very frustrating to me when I realy think of it.

Otherwise I talk about sex toys with my mother all the time and we are very open about discussing sex. Actually I guess my super libido comes from her because starting from an early age she would be overtly sexual infront of me and my sister with her boyfriend and didnt give a darn. It was very disturbing and inappropriate (to me and I will nenver do that to my children!) but I think I learned from her that it was ok to be sexual (just not infront of your kids).

I have really wanted to share the experiences, participation & products I have had with EF with some of my girlfriends, however, being married means if I share any info about myself, I may inturn jeapordize my husband's privacy. I'm not too comfortable with the idea of my girlfriends knowing that much about his or our sexual life.

I really want to spread the word because I'm definitely not going back now! Plus, this community has allowed me to be more comfortable with sexuality in general.

Unfortunately I've lost contact with most of my friends because they chose very different paths than I did and am actually not having too much luck making friends at college. (Here, no partying = no friends apparently...)

I have told two male friends that I still talk to occasionally. Neither seemed interested in toys for themselves or even for their partners. They only became interested in my own endeavors, which wasn't the point of the conversations haha.

I really would like to (re)introduce my mother, but I'm unsure of how that would affect our relationship especially because I still live at home. I think she deserves a lot better regarding her sex life.

I know what you mean, that's why I never discuss things that are too personal. I usually discuss stuff that pertains to me because my partner doesn't care much for sex toys.

Instead of 'older', I prefer to think that we've reached a higher level of wisdom.

As for converting friends, one has ordered a vibrator after hearing me tell of their virtues. But I suspect that other friends think my interest is sex toys is strange. And most friends I just don't even talk about it with, even friends I sometimes discuss sex with.

I bought one of my friends her first sex toy (a tiny little vibe) but I wouldn't call it a revolution.

I've shared with my husband, and one good friend I have. I think she thinks the whole toy thing is strange - she likes DVDs, which I tend to pass on to her, but isn't keen on trying toys.
