I am married to a swinger and I have tried the lifestyle but prefer to be in the arms of someone I have a deeper connection with. I have a life partner and a very close group of friends that we all play with from time to time. Saves worry about STDs. I don't worry about being jealous it serves no purpose.

I'm the jealous type and just would have no interest in swinging.

Being a swinger and living a non-monogamous lifestyle doesn't make you a bad person, nor does being monogamous make you good.

Are you kidding? I spend way too much effort kicking myself when I have a relationship that goes bad...let alone screwing random people I don't know. The guilt would eat me alive.

I'd be too jealous. The only way I could think of even considering it is if I had been in a long term relationship for many years and we had grown apart sexually but still wanted to be together, or a physical incident/disability killed our sex lives...but even then, that's not swinging so much as opening up the relationship under specific circumstances. I'm too jealous, and naturally monogamous; I find it exhausting to put my energy into more than one person at a time when it comes to sexual intimacy; I may not fall in love, but I do put my heart into those kinds of relationships, just because I can't imagine having sex with someone I don't know, and have no connection with--actually, yes I can, because I've done it before. Hated it. It was the worst sex of my life.

I couldn't handle it if it was with someone I loved, but with just a current lover it could be fun. I'm just scared of diseases as well.

My wife and I are both excited by the fantasy, but we're both somewhat jealous and wouldn't want to have to deal with any STD or pregnancy issues.
