I am thinking of tanning for the winter and never have before. Not sure if I should be completely naked or leave bottoms on or wear a bikini.
My concern is this is at a tanning facility.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not at all. I still can't figure out why people do this when there is so much well-publicized knowledge about the link between UV exposure (including tanning beds) and instance of skin cancer. I just don't get it! /end rant

When I was younger I tanned a bit and always did it naked. If it is a good tanning salon they should wash the beds after every use. Also, they should have cleaning spray in the room so you can do it yourself if you feel the need to.

Definitely naked. I always clean the bed myself with the spray they leave in the room when I go in.

who doesn't tan naked... occasionally ill put a bikini or panties and bra so it looks like im a sunbathing beauty... i just like the look.

This. ^^ I will never comprehend why some people still want to tan. But I feel the same way about smoking, etc.

For me tanning has psychological effects. The winter months get pretty depressing when I can't be outside so keeping a darker complexion during that time of year helps.

I tan often so they usually leave cleaner in the room for me that way I can clean it before I leave and I always clean before getting in. When I tan somewhere new, I take a paper towel and wipe the bed and check it to see if there's any residue from it not being cleaned. Once, I looked at the towel and it was BROWN! YUCK. I lay naked unless I go someplace new and find brown on the bed. Lol

First, I have to say it, someone has to. We're all going to die eventually so why not go out with a nice tan! lol. Anyways, if I'm at home I'm always tanning in a bikini but if I go to a salon I just where skimpy little g-strings.

Tanning in moderation for people who live in dark climates (who dont have genetic risk factors) can be beneficial for both SAD management and vitamin D deficiency (its best if you use a decent lotion and refrain from showering for 24 hrs after so you can absorb D. I did my research, and the risk is not that great if you don't overdo it, humans need moderate sun exposure to be healthy, and as a Chicago desk worker I am very SAD prone.

I don't do tanning beds cause I'm super pale and just burn but for special occasions I will go to a tanning salon to get sunless. I wear underwear but nothing else. Also if you're thinking about doing sunless really research places in your area before you do. Some people come out looking a bit orange if they go to a place where it's not done right.

Although I understand the dangers of skin cancer, for those of us who travel south in the winter, we need to get a head start on the sun intake before we hit the beach. And especially for us (Canadians) we get pretty darn pale throughout the winter months. But we always take precautions when we are out in the sun. But to answer your question my wife and I always tan naked (after we clean the beds of course)

Tanning for me is a NO NO. I am super pale skinned. I do not want orange skin and personally I think it look ridiculous and it is not healthy for your skin. I went to school with this girl who was in the grade below me who died of skin cancer at age of 20, which was because of tanning.

I have never tanned, but I have heard a spray tan is much healthier than UV beds.

I have SAD and some occasional psoriasis on my elbows and knees. UV rays are extremely therapeutic for both conditions, and I can't imagine trying to get through winter without tanning - I'd be a mess! I know UV can be harmful if it's too strong or exposure time is too long, but the sun poses the same risks as a tanning bed.

But to answer the question, I always tan naked - no lines.
