Using condom with TPR/TPE toy?

so I am on a final stretch of a long-distance relationship and have gotten into the idea of using a masturbator to pass the time and cause I have an extremely high sex drive.

I regrettably bought a cyberskin UR3 pocket stroker that although enjoyable, is most likely not safe. I think the idea of using a condom on a sex toy is ridiculous, considering my SO and I enjoy condom-less sex when we're together.

I was looking around at some of the toys produced by Eden made with TPR/TPE and they say 'use condom when sharing' obviously these porous materials can still harbor bacteria, I was wondering if I keep this for personal use, will I be relatively safe? I know I won't get chlamydia from frequent use of a pocket pussy, but I do not with to get a weird bacterial infection/UTI from it either.

I know pure 100% silicone is my best option, but does anyone else NOT use condoms with TPR/TPE products? What are you thoughts on it?

I don't have any toys made out of TPE, so I'm just speaking common sense. Since most TPE (or TPR) materials manufactured nowadays are phthalate- and latex-free and also hypoallergenic, it should be pretty safe if you're using a masturbator that's TPE. Just make sure to wash (preferably with antibacterial toy cleaners) and dry it properly between use.

TPE for sure is porous, but if you're not sharing your masturbator with anyone else, and you're always keeping it in a clean, dry condition, you shouldn't have to worry.

I agree with Rosie this should be (TPR) safe from pockets of bacteria unlike a lot of toys now a days. That are made of many different materials and could cause unknown problems if not being a hell cats about how clean they are. TPR is nice and clean it shouldn't be a problem.
