Have you ever really wanted a toy even though the reviews weren't the best?

Or possibly not the best for you?

I've had this happen several times. The one I keep wanting lately is the JJ Little Chroma. I usually need fairly strong vibrations. But I really love the look of this and want to try it.

LOL Half my wishlist is 'OOOOOH SHINY' even though I know they probably won't be right for me. I keep trying rabbit vibes because of the shininess factor.

In the past yes but not anymore. If I'm going to get a toy, I need to be 100% sure it's not going to be a waste of money.

I used to want the laya spot but I know it wouldn't be strong enough for me, so it's been off my wishlist for a while.

Guilty. If it is pretty I want it! But that doesn't mean I'll buy it. I try to be practical.

LOL! I have an "oOOo shiny" problem myself!
It used to just be for crystals and stones but now it's migrated over to sex toys.
I want the SaSi eventhough a few reviews are not great and it takes time to figure out. If I can get it to work, I would be one happy girl!

lol guilty. I reviewed the Neo Vibe because it looked cool and had only one review on it. It wasn't a positive review either but I thought it deserved a chance...okay so I was wrong. Unfortunately it's not the only toy that hasn't turned out favorable for me but it's fun to explore different toys and the Sasi is on my next order

Reviews are completely subjective. I use them as guide posts. That goes for anything thing that gets reviewed; movies, books, video games, etc.

Reviews are one person's opinion, they can be a helpful tool in the decision making process, but shouldn't be the only decision making factor.

I can't tell you the number of times I've read a great movie review and the movie ended up being garbage, or vice versa.

Yes, it interesting that you mentioned the JJ Little chrome I bought a little platinum when it was on sale knowing it had week vibrations just for the "ohhh look platinum shiny!"/needless decadence factor. and if the right combination of sale and free money happen I'll probably do the same for a little gold.

Also i have a toy head to me this way that I requested just because it is yellow ,a rare color in sex toys.

I'd have to say no. I have some reviewers that I relate to really well, if they don't like it - it isn't likely my wife will either. There are some great reviewers @ EF - trust what you read!

Yups. I usually take a more critical eye to those reviews, though, and check to see if they address the reasons I wanted it in the first place. If someone reviews that it is too strong, thats kinda my indicator that I'll love it.
