Island Fever 4 by Digital Playground - review by R.

After seeing other titles from Digital Playground, and Joone, I was very excited to check out Island Fever 4. I thought that combining beautiful tropical locations with the production quality that Digital Playground is known for with other award winning titles like 'Pirates,' 'Nurses,' and 'Babysitters," would be the perfect combination.

It turned out though that this film really didn't live up to the high standards that Digital Playground has set for itself. The main thing was that this film did not have a story line, which it easily could have. It just starts out with one sex scene, and then goes one after another for the entire film without connection. Although this is normal for a lot of porn flicks, it really stood out in this one. Oh, and did I mention that these are really "silent sex scenes?"

There is no actual dialogue or actual sound in this film, its all just music. The music is definitely interesting - the entire thing is kind of a 'native, jungle beat.' My wife said she liked it, but it was really overkill. It wouldn't be a problem if the music was used intermittently, but the entire movie is scored with music, start to finish. It meant that you never actually got to hear any of the girls, ocean, or palm trees, which took away from the experience for me.

Additionally, there was a relatively small cast - with only six girls over the course of 3 hours, it kept coming back to the same girls over and over again - this can be interesting if it's a narrative film, but since it wasn't, it was just repetitive.

Also, the editing of the movie was more music video style, cutting quickly between angles and scenes which was also distracting.

Usually my wife enjoys watching a good porn with me, but because there was no story line with this one, she quickly lost interest.
