Love Card - gift card by Eden - review by Jamesey

With the holidays coming up so fast, these cute little gift cards are a GREAT idea. Obviously they wouldn't be the gift of choice for a new boss or friendly ex, but they would be a lot of fun for white elephants, in small amounts. Eden Fantasys gift cards come in denominations of $25, $50, $75 and $100. I only wish that I was able to purchase these in smaller amounts for this reason specifically. White elephants have been the running theme to our family Christmas parties, and usually you are supposed to bring a random gift and also a $5-10 gift card. I'd love to make my family giggle anonymously with this, but not for $25.

So, seeing as I can't use this as a gag gift, I purchased a gift card as a way for me to SAVE my points and not be so tempted to spend them whenever I see them available. It makes it easier to see how much $$$ in points you actually have, especially when you consolidate old gift cards to purchase one BIG one.

The quality of the card isn't really that great. It's a simple cardboard gift card with a pretty tacky image on the front that says "Love Card." It comes in a white holder that is folded. There is a bar code on the back (for what, I'm not sure)and the gift card number, which is the same length and type as the online gift card codes that we get. Be very careful with these cards if you intend on using them more than once, as the numbers on them are raised print, and can scratch off very easily.

The thing I don't like about these isn't the design, though. I'd be just as happy with a code as I am with the card. What I don't like is that although it is the same kind of code we would receive that stays available on our dashboards and allows us to see what is left on each one, this one does not apply itself to your account nor does it allow you to track how much you have left on it. I would love to be able to type in the code for this on my page and then throw the card away.
