Adult Mad Libs - adult game by Penguin - review by woodsdragon

This book is for any adult that is looking for something quick and fun. Mad Libs can be done by yourself, with your partner, or even in a group. You can fill out the Mad Libs with you partner or even in a group (ex. Bachelor/Bachelorette Party). The goal of the game is simple: to have fun. The stories can turn out in numerous ways depending on how the blanks are filled in.

This is more of a game to play for fun as there isn't a winner or a loser. The rules are, exactly as they say, "ridiculously simple". They even include an example. The instructions tell you to play the game with at least 2 people, but the game is also designed to play by yourself. Multiple players allow for 1 reader and all other players are the writers (roles can switch for each new Mad Lib). The reader asks for the writers to give words based on what is needed for the specific story without knowing where in the story the words are going (ex. noun, verb, ect..). Once the reader has all the words, they put them into the story and read it out loud. To play alone, there is a page to write in the words needed for the story without seeing the story. Once the solo player has written words for each space asking for a type of word (adjective, exclamation, ect..), then the solo player can put them into the actual story. The length of this game is up to the players. Players can do only one Mad Lib or the whole book.

The book has a soft cover, but it does include a piece of cardboard at the back of the book, so the book can be written in no matter what surface is available. The game comes all in one piece, but the pages could be ripped out if desired. My advice would be checking both sides of the paper before ripping it out because sometimes each side is part of a different Mad Lib. The game requires the care of any paperback book if the user is planning on making it last. The book is small, so it will travel easy and looks like any Mad Lib book (minus cover art). It could be used anywhere as long as the user is careful to cover the cover of the book if needed.
