A lot of times reviewers call their toys "she," but the Colt Anal-T has to be a guy: It's made of hard plastic so there's nothing subtle about it. The theory behind such a hard, vibrating anal toy seems sound because soft materials aren't great for prostate stimulation and they also don't transfer vibrations very well. The Anal-T might be taking this theory too far, though. "Firm" is one thing, "hard, unyielding plastic" is another. For someone looking for such a thing, the Anal-T lives up to its mission. Lube it up, slide it in, power it on and it will vibrate away while the angle tries to direct its forces to the prostate.

The overall impression of the Anal-T is that it is hard plastic; however, it is covered with Rubber Cote which adds a softness to the outside texture. While the device is solid and unyielding, the velvety surface feels welcoming. For the price, it's pretty nice. There is a seam running the length of the toy, but it wasn't an issue for me. Rubber Cote is a good-not-perfect option for anal toys. It's nonporous, but you can't boil it (maybe you shouldn't be boiling anything with motors inside, though). I found it cleaned up easily with soap and water, and you also could wipe down with isopropyl alcohol. The control unit is wrapped in the same stuff so it's easy to clean, too. Since the whole thing is waterproof, and silicone lube is an option for use with Rubber Cote, this is a very good option to take to the shower with you.

The design is pretty good and the construction was quite solid. The size is good for anal play. The length at 5" is long enough to reach its destination, and I wouldn't want something this rigid to be able to reach much deeper. One note is that the little ball at the end of the shaft and the base of the handle wasn't really insertable for me. The ball ends right at the handle. If there were a bit of a neck between the ball and the handle I'd say the ball would be an added feature because you could pop it in and out while the shaft rubbed along your prostate. As it is, the ball didn't do anything for me. The shaft is 3/4" in diameter which advanced users might find too slender, but I think it's a good size. This isn't a toy designed to fill you up, it's designed to ride against your prostate. The T-handle is designed well. It works great for holding onto with slippery fingers and it fits between the cheeks perfectly. It has the added benefit of making it easy to keep track of which way the curve of the toy is facing (it's not easy to keep track of these things!).

Well, it does what it is supposed to. It definitely vibrates and it offers a good range of vibration intensity. The vibration is a little bit deeper, not just buzzy, than I would have expected for the price. However, it didn't really do anything for me. The vibration spread over a large area, rather than being concentrated on my prostate and I think it actually distracted from any prostate stimulation I was getting. Maybe I'm just not a good fit for anal vibrations in general.

The shape of the toy would be great for non-vibrating stimulation, but this is where I ran into the drawback of the rigid texture: It wasn't comfortable for sliding along my prostate and was too hard for thrusting. I will say that the vibrations felt great on my perineum and testicles, and running the shaft along my own shaft felt great, too.

The fact that the toy and its controller are covered in Rubber Cote makes it simple to clean. The whole thing is waterproof so you can just run under a faucet and wash it with antibacterial soap and hot water. Rubber Cote can be rubbed down with isopropyl alcohol, too. The material didn't seem to be much of a lint magnet during storage.

It comes in a plastic blister pack with none-too-subtle graphics. It wouldn't make for a pretty gift (but if you're gifting an anal vibrator maybe "pretty" isn't the most important criterion in the world) and it won't work for storage.

Like I said, this was my first vibrating anal toy, so your experience may vary. If you're into the vibration sensation and want a rigid prostate toy, this one would be good for you. I would advise beginning anal players to try something in a firm silicone rather than this guy.
