Vice - prostate massager discontinued by Aneros - review by MrClark

This toy was designed as a male prostate massager to be used anally on its own, during masturbation, or during sex. Though it is made of a high quality medical grade silicone, which can be easily sterilized, so using it in alternative applications vaginally or by a female partner anally between cleanings is quite possible. It won’t be as good in these uses since it was anatomically designed to rest comfortably against the prostate inside a male’s rectum. The following photo shows the orientation of the toy I will use as well as where the perineum massager and inserted parts of the toy are located.



The front of the toy should face towards your penis so that the perineum massager sits correctly, also this results in the toy applying pressure towards your prostate correctly. The toy when inserted can be manipulated via your anal kegel muscles, which will result in the toy moving against your prostate/perineum effectively “milking” the prostate to a p-spot induced orgasm. The toy can be used with or without the provided stainless steel vibrating bullet. The bullet is removable and can work on its own as a vibrator if desired. The vibrations enhance the intensity of the experience.

The toy, like most prostate massagers, is designed to be used during sex or lying down. This toy works fine to sit on if you aren’t using the provided vibrator; however, it doesn’t work well to sit on when wanting to use the vibrator. I typically will take a towel rolled up in a U shape to provide some height to sit on when using the vibrator with this toy while masturbating. You also could use a donut pillow if you have one for the same effect. But this keeps the vibrator from pressing into my chair, which would alter the vibration settings during use as that’s where the button is located.

The toy is made of a high quality medical grade silicone with what they call a satin finish. The result is a very high quality silicone with a soft finish that is very smooth, which makes inserting this toy very easy, even though it is on the medium to large size for p-spot massager toys. The silicone is firm but flexible, which is nice as that allows the toy to apply pressure internally but have enough give that it isn’t overly aggressive or uncomfortable while inserted. I would say that the smoothness of this toy leads to a great progression in size for a beginner who is looking to step up to a larger toy than maybe some of the more entry level sized prostate massagers. The silicone has no noticeable smell.

The toy’s vibrating bullet is very well built, much better construction than the nexus vibro vibrating bullet that came with that toy. It is machined out of stainless steel, which means that this toy could double as a vibrating bullet for other uses since it can be sterilized pretty easily.

The toy is very well designed. This is the 4th prostate massager I’ve bought and it’s probably the best combination of materials, shape, and functions of all the ones I own. I still wish that the toy was designed to be rechargeable and had the vibrator built into the toy such that it didn't stick out at the bottom allowing it to be used in a seated fashion without having to find a workaround solution.



The picture above was taken from the Aneros site and shows the relative measurements of the toy and puts it next to a quarter for representative size comparison. It's larger than the classic SGX Aneros but bigger than the Nexus Vibro toys I own. Which if you are worried about the size of the toy I would start with a smaller prostate massager and work up; however, the construction of the vice not being too large plus being made of a very high quality/smooth silicone makes it very easy to insert.


The shape is such that the stem of the toy when inserted correctly will rest again your prostate. Unlike other p-spot massager brands I've used so far, Aneros is good at applying pressure to the prostate but not so much it's uncomfortable. This is partly due to the shape of their toys and the fact that they have a forward lean but not an overly aggressive forward lean to them. The vibrating bullet is then inserted in the base of the toy up into the stem, resulting in the vibrations being applied directly to the prostate. This can accelerate or intensify the prostate massage based orgasm.

But the fact that this toy is easy to insert, fits great when inside with no discomfort, applies adequate pressure to the correct areas, and vibrations go directly where wanted this toy really checks all the boxes for me.

The toy's performance exceeded my expectations and resulted in a new level of p-spot induced orgasm for me. I started using this toy after using a variety of others before this one and didn't expect the outcomes of using this toy to be substantially better than the results I had gotten out of like the Nexus Vibro previously. I think the less overly aggressive and more comfortable shape of the Aneros Vice resulted in a more enhanced result.

The toy only has 3 vibration patterns when using the provided vibrating bullet; however, this was more than adequate for me... more options isn't necessary if the provided options are good. It has quite a bit of power likely based on where it is directed. It's nice that it uses a conventional AAA battery vs the other vibrating bullets I own that take obscure hard to find batteries. The rechargeable AAA options never seem to have the same level of power output as the non-rechargeable ones, which is my only real gripe about this toy.

As the toy is made of a very smooth high quality silicone, it is very easy to clean with just some hot water after use. I also usually sterilize it before and after use with some rubbing alcohol. The vibrating bullet is also very easy to clean since it is machined out of stainless steel.

I store both of these in the box that they came in as it's pretty non-descript and is a well made box that is inside the decorative wrapping. The box is kept close by a magnetic closure so really seems the manufacturers had this in mind when they made the packaging.

The toy is made of silicone, so I only use water based lubes so as not to damage the toy.
