The Lux LX 2 is marketed as a prostate massager. It has an insertable portion for internal prostrate stimulation and a perineum tab designed for external stimulation. Although marketed towards male bodies, it can be used as a butt plug by anyone and for me it least it works better as a perineum stimulating butt plug then an internal/external prostate stimulator.

The toy is made out of smooth, black silicone, with an inner frame made out of ABS plastic*. Silicone is nonporous, odorless, tasteless, waterproof, and free of phthalates or latex. See care and maintenance below for how to take care of it.

The insertable portion is hard and unyielding; the handle portion, which includes the perineum tab, however is flexible and can be moved and stretched slightly. The toy is complete smooth with the exception of a few symbols and the word “Lux” where the neck and the handle meet. This point of the toy will not make contact with the body so it does not affect performance.

* I have seen this listed as just silicone however, the box says ABS with a silicone finish as does the specifications page in the manual.

The toy measures roughly five and half inches in total length, about four of which is insertable. It has a maximum diameter of 1.5 inches. From its head, it narrows to its neck diameter of roughly 2/5 of an inch. The finger hole handle is a wedge shape with a small sphere stuck at the end of one point to provide perineum stimulation. The handle measures roughly half an inch wide. The hole itself measures about 1.5 inches by 1 inch. The spherical perineum tab measures about .45” and is about an inch away from the main body of the toy.

Lastly, this toy is part of BMS’s Lux line of toys, which includes this toy, The Lux LX-1 prostate massager, the vibrating LX-3 and larger LX3+ prostate massagers, and the Lx-4 vibrating cock ring that also comes in a larger LX4+ model.

The toy is made in China.

Overall if you are looking for a butt plug with good prostate performance this is an excellent choice. However if you are looking for an internal/external prostate massager its performance here is mediocre due to an only ok perineum arm.

To start the head has a great angel that very effectively hits the prostate and as a butt plug it provides a nice sense of fullness. The 1.5” diameter may be a bit much for some but the smooth finish does help with insertion. The narrow neck diameter means it stays in place in every position I tried including during masturbation, orgasm, intercourse etc.

Moving on to the base, the slim handle design means it nestles between the cheeks very comfortably. The finger hole allows you to comfortably insert and remove the toy and is great for you (or your partner) to manually manipulate the toy with. Another benefit of the finger hole handle is that you can put a vibrator thought the hole to add some vibrations into the mix. The handle is also comfortable for me to sit on. A big reason for this is that the back portion of the handle wedge is flexible so although it sticks out a tiny bit when you sit on it will flex instead of continuing to stick out uncomfortably. The slight flex does impart a bit of tension to it but this is a good thing as it makes it extremely effective to rock with, wiggling a bit while seated, and I can easily bring myself to orgasm this way. Lastly, the perineum stimulator at the tip of the wedge will provide some bonus perineum stimulation.

As I’ve noted in other reviews (Romp, Trezze large) I occasionally use butt plugs to reach orgasm in public, this is much easier with toys that provide good prostate pressure. I haven’t tested this in public as of this review but testing it around the house its design is perfect for this type of play due to the combination of a good prostate head, comfortable wearable base, retention and the ability to easily activate it in public (the aforementioned rocking and wiggling on it).

Those where the pros however there are some cons to this handle. While it makes it a great butt plug, it falls sort as a traditional prostate massager (by which I mean a toy designed to deliver hands free external perineum/internal prostate stimulation activated by contracting your PC muscles). First, off the handle as I said does have some give while this is good for use as a butt plug, materials with no give like plastic (example the Euphoria Enhanced) work better for providing firm external massage. Secondly, this is a hair lower then I like on the perineum, it is not poorly placed I just personally prefer stimulators that hit higher than average, even a tenth of an inch higher would have improved performance for me. These two factors mean it doesn’t perform as well as other prostate massagers external arms.

Normally a mediocre perineum would take a star off but its performance as prostate stimulating butt plug is good enough for me to declare it a 5 star butt plug.

To clean silicone, just use hot soap and water. Normally you could subject silicone to more through forms of cleaning such as boiling however; you shouldn’t use heat methods of cleaning with this toy as it could melt the ABS frame.

Silicone can have a bonding reaction with silicone lubes, so do not use silicone lubes with this toy. If you must use silicone lubes for some reason do a test patch on the bottom of the toy to test for reactions.

Silicone does not have any special storage requirements, however many like storing toys separate from each other to be on the safe side. It is also a good idea to store this in something because silicone tends to be a dust and lint magnet although the finish of this silicone doesn’t attract as much dirt as others. The included packaging is excellent for storage; see packaging section for more info.

The Lux comes in a very elegant and tasteful black and silver packaging that is great for storage or gifting. It is about 7.75” by 4.66” by 2” in size and made out of sturdy, thick cardboard. The front just has the words “Lux Male Stimulator silicone” inside of a sliver logo. The back has several lines talking about the toy as well as the typical legal disclaimers and such (as well as one of those smart phone barcodes that make me feel like a dinosaur because I still have a dumb phone). When you first receive the toy, it will come wrapped in plastic for shipping and there will be a sticker with the LX number of the toy sealing the box.



When your open it the top half of the box with have a larger version of the same Lux logo that is on the outside. Inside will be pamphlet listing all the Lux toys as well as a user manual. Under those, the toy will be nestled inside black Styrofoam.



The included manual has instructions on how to use and care for the toy in five languages (English, French, German, Spanish, & Russian). If you or the person you are buying this for is new to prostate massagers this manual will be a great introduction.
