Cody - butt plug discontinued by Tantus - review by squire

This plug is simple to use, and one I found to be fulfilling. There is some degree of versatility in its use, be it as a regular plug or with a harness, but I found it's strength to be in it's simplicity and quality of design. No matter if you're looking for prostate stimulation or to be stretched, for partner play or when alone, Cody fits the bill! One addition in use that I didn't try, but is common for most toys with substantial surface area in their base, is that of transmitting vibration. Using a bullet on the base can travel though the plug increasing the sensation if desired, though I can't speak for it's effectiveness in terms of Cody. Temperature play can also be fun, with soaking this plug in warm water being my preferred method. When warm, and with how this plug hold onto lube, I got an enjoyable experience that literally and figuratively filled me with warmth.

When I thinking about this plug's material and texture I think: "uninteresting to the eye, exciting in the rear". The dark black matte finish gives a dull look to this toy, but also allowed for a firm grip with the hand and traction with lubrication. I found myself not having to reapply lube often to this toy. I felt as though it entered smoothly, stayed slick, and the lube didn't wick off during insertion, which is important when considering using a plug of this size. It's got a decent amount of "give" for me, but firm enough not to flop around. Overall, material quality is spot on.

The design of the Cody works perfectly for my body. The based is rounded and flared, so there's no chance of losing it or having an edge dig into your butt cheek. It's length and girth are enough to hit all the right spots. At 5 1/2" long and 1 3/4" wide, it's a medium to large plug with some pronounced bulges in the middle. The neck is perfect at 1 1/4", allowing it to stay in place, but the distance between the tip and the two pronounced bulges gives this plug a steep learning curve for those uninitiated to anal play. Be warned that the shape feels comfortable, and hits the prostate if you're male, but it gets big fast!

When wearing this plug, I found sex to be more pleasurable. The bulges are located in such a way to give me a good stretch, hit the prostate, which intensified my orgasm while having intercourse. The base is somewhat large, and for some that might feel obtrusive if you're focusing on other types of play while plugged, but I didn't feel as though this was a hindrance in my case.

This is a simple plug to use, size aside. It held on to lube, was easy to manipulate by my partner, stimulated my prostate during intercourse, and when moving in general. I love this toy because it's great on it's own, when alone, and with my partner. It fits into large diameter o-rings for harness play, and my partner says it felt great when she had it inserted during intercourse as well. I could feel it, and it was quite enjoyable! Having smooth ridges, too, made Cody a unique and gentle plug.

Like most Tantus toys, the Cody is phthalate-free and is made of Platinum Silicone. The Cody is hypoallergenic, hygienic, and if loved well s/he will most likely last a lifetime. Being made of quality silicone, you can boil this toy, throw it in the dishwasher, or use the traditional 10% bleach solution to ensure cleanliness and safety when shared with a partner. This toy doesn't retain smells or tastes, and is pretty easy to maintain.

As like most Tantus products, the Cody came to me in a clam shell plastic container, fully protected during travel, and arrived in undamaged condition. Would I use this container for storage? Probably not, as it was large and unappealing to the eye, much like Cody. Though uninteresting to look at, due to it's subtle matted silicone finish, and to a degree it's shape, this plug has definitely been one of the plugs I use the most in my collection. Having a package that I could keep it in that separates it from the rest of my collection would have been nice, but the quality and function of this Tantus product made that less important to me.

After using this plug, I know that it was money well spent and that I would buy it again. It's an excellent option for those seeking to get greater experience with a larger size, and for those who want to feel a degree of fullness without being poked by a rough edge or tip. Uninteresting to the eye, but exciting in the rear!
