Have I mentioned that I have a fondness for rubber toys from Doc Johnson?

I know a lot of folks don't like rubber. It smells funny. It tastes funny. It's not the safest material as far as cleaning goes. But it's affordable. I've said it about other things and I"ll say it about the Classic butt plug; a decent anal toy at such an economical price is a prize. If it wears out or gets funky smelling or you simply feel it's no longer clean you don't feel bad tossing it out and buying a new one.

And I've had tremendous luck with these plugs. I've owned a few and every one of them has lasted me three or more years with moderate to heavy use.

I like to use a butt plug to get me stretched and ready for anal sex and to keep me aroused and hungry. That means I'll often wear them for hours at a time.

I use these things well and I've never been disappointed.

I particularly like this size because it's also not "too much" if you're going for DP. Larger plugs used during sex leave me feeling like I'm going to burst and often expel themselves quite forcefully. This size is pretty much perfect.

The texture is firm but it's got enough give to make it comfortable for both insertion and wear. It lubes up easily and you can use just about any lube you want to. Surface clean up is a breeze but remember that rubber is porous so while it may look clean it's going to hold some bacteria. You can try a condom with it but I always feel leery about a condom on an anal plug. Just my oddities, I'm sure, and since I don't share toys I just clean as well as I can and replace when it starts to hold a smell or look funky.

The flared base is very comfortable to me, though I've heard some people complain. Compared to an overly large jelly plug I once had, this is the epitome of comfort.

The only thing I don't like about this plug is it's length. The girth is nice. It stretches just the way I like a plug to stretch. But it seems long to me and can be a little uncomfortable if used while sitting.

I finally got around to trying a condom on this toy. I've had a fear, for years, that doing so the condom would stay in my ass when I pulled the plug out and be forever lost in there. That didn't happen. Just goes to show how silly our fears can sometimes be.

I will say the condom made the plug less comfortable. After an hour or so the open end of the condom, with it's little ring, began the chafe and irritate.

In short, a condom works just fine - especially for short term use - but since I don't share toys I won't be using one regularly. I like to keep a plug in for an extended time and didn't like the discomfort.
