Get Extra Tickets For This Ride!

You may not have the wind in your hair, but the Ripple Rider will keep you so pleased that you won't even care. This toy has good power, comes in black for guys (or gals) who don't want the pink shiny version, and doesn't take long to get you where you want to go!

Use

This is a great anal vibrator for beginners or advanced users. With its graduated size, you can try a little or try a whole lot of the Ripple Rider. While the guys may be able to angle it and hit the P-spot, it was powerful enough no matter what it was hitting in the back door.

Material / Texture

The texture was nice and smooth, and there was no overpowering smell when I pulled it out of the box. The information on the toy says it is made out of TPE plastic; therefore, water-based lubricants are recommended. Based on where it was getting used, I wasn't going to get in the habit of giving this toy a taste test.

Design / Shape / Size

From the tip to the end of the battery cap, the toy is 8.5 inches overall. The 'useable' portion of the toy is 7 inches long. There are 5 graduated nodules, starting from the smallest at the tip down to the base. The first 2 nodules are about an inch in length, and the third is a bit over an inch. The fourth nodule is about 1.5 inches, and the last one is about 2 inches long. The largest nodule is 5 inches in circumference, and the base is over 7 inches in circumference. With those dimensions, you don't have to worry about this toy getting 'lost.' The size and shape worked very well, and the nice thing about the graduated size is that you can determine how much goes inside. Whether you just break the seal or go all the way, there is enough vroom to make your toes curl!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are felt throughout, whether you have it on the first, second, or third power setting. The vibrations are stronger at the tip, but with fresh batteries, you can feel the energy throughout the toy. The switch is at the base of the battery cap, so it is easy to reach and control. Here's one word of warning though: you can put the battery pack in the wrong way, and you may only get one vibration setting, and the toy won't turn on and off. (Yes, I can assemble almost anything improperly if I try hard enough.) In my defense, I was so excited to give this a try that I wasn't paying attention to the little details.

The battery pack should slide in and out easily when the end cap is removed. On one side of the battery pack, there is a squared notch, and the other side is more rounded. Look inside the battery compartment, and you should be able to tell the two sides apart. If you put fresh batteries in the toy and the switch doesn't seem to work right, pull them out and try them the other way … that worked for me … oops!

Care and Maintenance

With some hot soap and water, this toy is a breeze to clean up. I only used water-based lube, so there hasn't been any breakdown of the toy's material. After it dries, I just put it back in its box for storage.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The packaging was a thin plastic box, just a little bigger than the toy. Inside, there was a custom-molded plastic insert that kept the toy from rolling around. After its first opening, I discarded the insert and kept the outer box for storage. My one complaint, or point of confusion with the box and the toy overall, was the marketing.

The box says the toy can be used in or out of water, and I did use it in the bathtub. Well, I tried to use it in the bathtub. With a TPE toy that needs water-based lube, how exactly does one successfully use it in the tub or shower? Other than that, the toy worked well and I am happy with it.

Experience

After I figured out my mistake with the battery pack, this toy rocked my world. It didn't take long at all to make my toes curl and my eyes roll back in my head. I don't play with a lot of toys in my back door, but this one is a keeper.

My only suggestion is that reviewers make it clear if they are male or female and if they used the item or someone of the other gender. Thank you.

Good review. I had no problem identifying you as a male from your review or your "about me" page, so I'm a bit confused by the previous comment. And it's an anal toy, most can be used on either male of female, which you did point out in your summary.
