Go, Go, Neo

The Nexus Neo is a great choice if you're looking for a handsfree body-operated prostate massager. During use it stays in place and the metal ball roller feels good and doesn't irritate. The Neo is both comfortable and stimulating, finding your prostate and sticking to it, and you're unlikely to outgrow it.

extremely useful review
I have to admit that the Nexus Neo (and similar massagers from Nexus) were off of my radar for a while. The ball-bearing perineum massager looked kind of gimmicky, and the body looked similar to the Aneros (but bigger). After writing off this toy and moving on I had a chance to try out some Nexus products, and I was impressed. Not all of them worked well for me, but they all showed careful design and a willingness to try new things, so I once again became interested in their hands-free body-actuated (passive) massagers. Being a guy, I like to think that little things like color aren't a big deal, but I was happy to see the wide range of hues that the Neo comes in, and finally selected the Orange to review, never having had an orange toy before.

I wish that I didn't wait.

The Nexus series, including the Neo, is now my first recommendation for someone interested in trying out a hands-free passive prostate stimulator. The reasons why, believe it or not, are the same reasons that I was originally not looking at them. The large, simple-looking body finds the prostate easily and sticks to it, and the steel ball is the most comfortable perineum stimulator I've used. The Neo doesn't pop out during use, and it's great either as a solo toy or to use during other sexual activity. The handle is easy to grab for hand-held use, and cleanup is mostly a breeze.

I'll try not to dwell too much on the ball, but more needs to be said about this little gem. It's made out of mirror-smooth stainless steel, and while it is free to rotate in any direction it's well-secured into the arm. The temperature difference between the plastic and ball can also be used for a bit of fun, but because of the small size of the ball it won't last too long.

I was worried at first by two things. Firstly, it seemed like it would be difficult to keep the ball clean, secondly I saw the ball and thought immediately of trapped and pulled pubic hair. I needn't have worried. The ball can easily be removed for cleaning with the included tool, and should you loose that any nonmetallic rod of a similar size should work just fine. As to pulling hairs, the Neo foiled my every attempt to get anything stuck.

While the body is large, insertion with the "point and twist" method (put the point against the anus and rotate it inwas easy given a bit of warm-up and plenty of lube (which sticks well to the light texturing of the body). Once in place both the tip and "belly" stimulate the prostate from inside, while the anus gets stimulated by the ribs on the neck. These ribs also help you to get a grip on the toy for hands-free use, when the anus and PC muscles work together to move the toy. Should you want a bit more, the handle is sturdy and easy to get at, but you do need to be a bit careful if you're having sex in positions where it can be bumped.

Compared to the Aneros line, the Neo seems to be easier to use and the perineum stimulator is much more comfortable than the disk-style stimulator found on many Aneroses. The one thing I did notice the Aneros doing more than the Neo was moving around. The Aneros body tends to move about a bit, stimulating different places on the prostate, whereas the Neo finds the prostate and sticks to it. It still feels great, but if you want a lighter, more mobile stimulation you might want to consider an Aneros instead. If you just want an all-around comfortable and good stimulator then do strongly consider the Neo, regardless of your experience level.
