The Pearl ride beginner butt plug as is the name states, a beginner 'ridged' butt plug with a suction cup. It can be used by woman or men for anal stimulation. The product came packaged inside of a plastic bag, nothing fancy but the product packing was sufficient enough for me.

The butt plug upon initial inspection had no scent. The product is very flexible and seemed to be well built and sturdy. The only concern I had was how well the suction base would work. I stuck it on a granite counter-top and it did not stay in place. After that I washed the toy with warm water and mild soap and it seemed to stay in place better afterwards. I think the suction cup would work better with a small amount of water or fluid of some sort to help it stay in place where you want it if you intend to 'ride' it. The shape and length of the butt plug is great for a beginner and not intimidating at all. I was looking for something smaller that could provide about the same sensation as a finger would for those days when you do not want to have something inside of you large.

Since the toy is silicone-based, water-based lubrication is pretty much required for this toy, so do not use a silicone-based lube. Another plus: the toy can be boiled for 10 minutes or so for an extra sterilization since it is made of silicone. Some additional features of silicone are that it is hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous and phthalates-free. I am a big fan of silicone because of its safety and ease of clean up and maintenance for the long term.

I still really like this butt plug. It is the perfect size for play when you do not want to play with something large. The suction cups work very well if you prefer to 'ride' this toy and not 'wear' it.
