These anal plugs are a great set for the beginner or for the more timid amongst us. They are a soft, silky smooth silicone, which makes them pliable and easy to insert. The packaging is easy to open, and would be a great place to store the explorers when not in use, though it is a bit bulky.

Having three sizes means that you've got options! If you are just starting out, you can try the smallest of the three. Intermediate anal players, or the adventurous newbie, could use the medium size. And then the largest size is great for anyone who has moved past the newbie stage. Since there's not a whole lot of difference in sizes, and the largest size isn't even all that large (with just 2.5" insertable length), these probably aren't the best choice for advanced anal players.

The explorers come in three different colors, so it's very easy to differentiate the three sizes at a glance. They are tapered toward either end, with a bigger bulge in the center, and have a sturdy finger hold at the bottom to eliminate the fear of a lost toy. They had no odor or smell when I removed them from the package, which was very nice. No offensive rubbery-like odor here.

Care and cleaning are a snap with these. Since they are 100% silicone, you can boil them to clean, or even stick them in the dishwasher! I myself wash with very hot water and soap, and then lay them out on a towel to dry before storing them away.

Since these are silicone based, remember to only use water based lubricants with them. You should also take care to keep these separate from other silicone and TPR type toys, because silicone is known to fuse together if left in contact for too long.
