Violet ripple - butt plug discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by maskedpuppy

I bought this toy intending to use it for extended wear, as I prefer harder plugs to soft silicone ones to remind me what exactly is inside me at all times. The wide flare and equally wide but non-intrusive looking base seemed perfect for me. I have a huge weakness for toys that look like candy, and purple is my favorite color; naturally this beautifully colored glass plug appealed to my girlier side, and I was very excited for it to show up when I placed my order.

When it arrived, my first impression was of the same high quality that glass toys always seem to come with. (Haha, 'come'.) It was all wrapped up in a little red velvet package; it came with its own lovely padded bag for easy storage. I'm always a fan of toys that come in reusable packaging, so I was already feeling confident when I pulled it out of its cozy little home...only to be shocked by the almost perfectly colorless toy awaiting me. I had to hold it straight up to the light to catch ANY hint of purple, and even that might have been my imagination. Although the shape and size were identical to what I saw on the website, that amethyst shade I'd been imagining was not visible in any stretch of the imagination. I was very disappointed; the color was an admittedly shallow, but big part of my excitement.

Coloration aside, the toy is wonderful quality and an overall nice piece of work. It's got much gentler curves than many of the spade-style plugs on the market; instead of the vaguely painful 'pop' I feel when inserting toys with larger flares, this one glided in with far more comfort and grace than I was used to at the time. (You better believe I've gotten acquainted with it now!) Although I was initially a bit concerned with the apparently slim base, it was much wider in person than I'd expected. The positive side of this was that there was definitely NO chance of my tushy swallowing it up - the negative side is that it didn't solve the problem I was aiming to fix; I will never be able to wear this toy under clothing or for extended periods without getting some very sore cheeks.

As always with glass plugs, I used plenty of lube and took my time warming myself up with my fingers and some smaller, softer toys. It's definitely bigger than I was expecting, though not so large that I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner to butt play. The flare was very easy to insert, but the way the base flares back out at the end meant my sphincter was still stretched a little uncomfortably wide. Not to mention that the base is little more than a big circle about the size of a large coin, and was not as comfortable as I was hoping for when I sat down or walked around. My butt just couldn't seem to relax around it, which was a shame, since I was aiming for extended/away-from-home wear with this plug.
