This is designed as an anal toy, and there aren't many other applications for it. Theoretically, it could be a vaginal plug, but I think it will be a bit too short to work well for that. On me, it sat where my pelvic bone is and was terribly uncomfortable.

Normally, I would tell you how safe it was for anal due to the nice wide base, but I can't because the base is really thin. We do use this, but only under supervision of a partner because it concerns us.

You can also use glass for temperature play. Just let the plug soak in warm or cool water for 15 minutes before play. I am not a fan of cold, but warming it up is really nice.

This is made of glass which is smooth and has a bit of weight to it. I like toys that have a bit of weight to them because I find that they are more noticeable during wear, but not everyone will feel the same as I do about it. This toy is rigid, so be careful with thrusting not to bruise anything.

The Violet Ripple has no texture aside from the bubble above the neck which is a must have for me with anal toys. I hate texture on my back door toys. The gradual shape makes it really comfortable during insertion.

Glass has no odor or taste, nor does it hold on to any because it isn't porous.

Ok, so I am a huge fan of the traditional plug shape. You know, like this one. The rounded point and easy progression to the widest part are great for insertion. Overall, this design almost always works very well for me. This plug is no different except for the small base. The base is only 1.25" in diameter while the plug itself has a 5.25" circumference which is a 1.67" diameter. With plugs, you want the base to be as wide as the widest part of the toy at least.

The length is on the longer side of average at 4.5" with 4" of that actually being insertable. The neck is 2.75" in circumference and is 1.25" long.

This plug is pretty easy for me to retain because of the long neck, but I am always scared of it getting pulled inside.

This is pure glass, so there are no vibrations, but glass can be warmed or cooled in water which makes it all kinds of fun. I personally don't like cold in my back door, but it's nice to be able to warm it up. You can use this anywhere as well.

I love the rigidness and weight. Glass offers both, and I adore it. I don't like how small the base is though. We only use this for shorter sessions and only when the other one can keep an eye on it.

Glass is an amazing product when it comes to care and maintenance. It is compatible with any lube or mild cleanser including toy cleaners and you can sterilize it by boiling it, putting it on the top rack of a dishwasher, or by wiping it with a 10% bleach solution. You can also wash it with and mild soap or toy cleaner and warm water.

I would recommend storing this in a location where it won't fall on to the floor. It is hard to break glass toys but not entirely impossible. A fall onto a hard surface too often may just do it.

The packaging for SSA Glass items is one of the most basic. The plug was wrapped in bubble wrap and put into the reusable storage bag. That's it. I wish the bag was a little higher quality. It's the cheap fake velvet seen in Halloween costumes, but other than that, I am satisfied.
