This is a very basic anal plug. You can probably figure out that you are supposed to insert the thin end into your butt, and the flared base keeps it from yelling "FREEDOM!" and diving the rest of the way in. You would be correct.
Due to the Jelly material of this plug, I suggest ALWAYS using a condom with it, although that has two problems of its own - it is an awkward shape and size to which to apply a condom, and the plug tends to slip more easily out of your ass when a condom is used.
Using it without a condom can be done, but please bear in mind that jelly material is porous, absorbent, and the chemicals used to manufacture it can cause burning in some people's delicate tissues (like mine).
Given the waterproof nature of the Jelly material, feel free to use this in the tub, shower, or pool without fear of ruining it!
The smell out of the box let me know that, yes indeed, this is made of Jelly material. And no, that sickly sweet chemical smell never goes away. It feels smooth but somewhat sticky to the touch but does take water-based lubricant decently well, which helps to negate the sticky feeling.
Jelly is a very porous material and as such can trap dirt, germs, and bacteria easily. Wash well with warm water and either toy cleaner or antibacterial soap. You cannot boil, bleach (as you can silicone) or put it in the dishwasher. It MUST be cleaned by hand.
The material unpleasantly seems to absorb...um..."Smells." Not a great quality in a butt plug.
It is pliable and "jiggly" but without being limp. It's firm enough to insert with not much difficulty and stay in one place.
The shape and size is about that of my two first fingers curled a bit. It's not very long, and the flared base is easily wide enough to keep your butt from sucking the plug the rest of the way in. I'd guess 2" in diameter. I apologize that I cannot give personal measurements but this met an unfortunate end in an accident with another of my jelly toys, where they both sort of dissolved each other.
The shape is actually quite appealing, and I own a very similarly shaped plug made in silicone because I liked the shape of this one so much.
The size, about 3.5" insertable, is quite comfortable for beginners, as is its 1" diameter. This can also make a great "warm up" toy for those who prefer larger toys and are willing to overlook the problems with the material.
I'd be lying, too, if I said that the iridescent, spectral purple color wasn't a draw for me initially (it matched another toy I had, a Jelly Dildo, which I will review separately).
I found that the shape of this plug was spot on. I liked it as a beginner butt plug or for extended wear. I think that the plug itself performed admirably. It stayed in place, gave me nice light stimulation in the places I wanted it and was comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. And I'll be frank with you - it felt really nice to wear when I was having (P-I-V) sex.
However, as I've mentioned in several reviews, I am HIGHLY sensitive to Jelly material, and this was no exception. When it wasn't covered with a condom, things could get a little stingy, and the last sensation I want in my already pretty sensitive asshole is a dull stinging/burning from the toy itself. Condom coverage could mask it well enough, but it still hurt a little around the outside where the base was uncovered.
Due to its size - four inches maximum length (a little over 3 insertable), it is quite easy to hide should you need to hide your sex toys - just make absolutely sure it is not touching ANY other jelly sex toys. THEY WILL INTERACT.
As a Jelly toy, this is incredibly difficult to maintain. The porous material traps all sorts of nasty things, and it must be cleaned by hand with soap, water, and either toy cleaner or soap. I use Dr Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap or Dial Antibacterial. After cleaning, thoroughly dry your toy and store it in a plastic bag away from other Jelly toys - they will interact with each other in extremely bad ways, melting and disintegrating.
It says that it is compatible with both Silicone and Water based lubricants, so I tend to use silicone - I feel that on jelly toys it almost creates a barrier between the irritating material of the toy and my lady parts.
It's a cheap, jelly toy. It's got a great shape for a relatively low price, so if you're willing to sacrifice quality and deal with the hassle of trying to put a condom on this strange-shaped, very petite butt plug, then maybe you have your match. I liked the shape enough that I started looking for a silicone replacement.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it8 days after original review
This plug met its untimely demise when it came into contact with the matching dildo via the good intentions of a former lover, who washed and put away my toys for me. Unbeknownst to him, jelly toys tend to react with each other and the next time I went to the drawer where they were, I found that the plug had "dissolved" a divot into the dildo, where it was leaning against it. Yikes! Both were thrown out. :(

Great review. Thanks. It looks like it might be difficult to keep it in due to the lack of a narrow neck after the bulb. Jelly is challenging for sure.

Great review, thanks!
It's always a good idea to stay away from Jelly toys.

Rossie - I'm with you there. I only purchase silicone, glass, metal, acrylic and the like these days. More spendy but the investment tends to be worth it.
