Named It After A Great Lay
This anal plug isn't for anal beginners because of its girth, but it's still useful for vaginal play in beginners. In addition, experienced anal fans will think it's buzz-worthy.

Pros
easy to clean, multiple uses
Cons
too big for beginners
First and foremost, this was the first anal toy that I've ever purchased as a request from a hookup buddy at that time. As foreshadowed by the title, this is where I tell you that the toy was named after a guy who I dated who was awesome at anal play (As a side comment, does everyone else name their toys too?). I've owned the plug for over a year now. That being said, I have no idea why I thought it was a good start for a beginner. It's of rather large girth for someone who hasn't used anal toys in the past, and I found that I had to fight to even get it in to the second ridge. In addition, I couldn't keep it in even after I had worked on it for quite awhile and managed to fully insert it.
Despite the fact that this toy was a bit too much for me at first, I do like that it is rubber, it's smooth, and it doesn't have a strong smell. It's easily cleaned with soap and water (though I use toy wipes), and it doesn't have any small areas that are difficult to clean. It can also be used for vaginal play, which is what I most like it for despite the fact that it's shorter than my typical vibrator. I think the "ripple" of the toy can definitely be felt. One quick reminder: never switch your toys from anus to vagina as it can cause some serious infections and discomfort.
If you're a beginner, I strongly suggest you start with something smaller, but if you have some experience, you'll probably love this low-maintenance plug. Even those who just want vaginal play could enjoy this toy.
One last note: I knew nothing about name brands when I ordered this, but I've recently found that Doc Johnson is a very good name brand!

Experience
When I used this, I was shooting a couple of X-Rated pics for the boy toy. He thought it looked super sexy even though I couldn't fully insert it at first. I suggest lots of lube!
Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still use this toy and I've had it for a long time! It's easy to clean and I can take it into the shower. Plus, I've gotten into the habit of sitting with it in and rocking as I'm on the edge of my tub and I actually orgasm this way like crazy! I still don't think it's the right starter toy for a beginner and most people will want to use lube with it. Oh, and as a plus, it dries extremely quickly and doesn't attract lint!
