Three Times A Butt Plug...
For about $9 you can get a toy that will stimulate your P spot, provide hours of fun play and gradually increase your ability to accept larger toys. It can be worn in a harness, used in conjunction with PIV sex, and is a great intermediate toy. It cannot, however, be fully cleaned as it is composed of flexible rubber, and will eventually, break down and need to be replaced.

Pros
Inexpensive, gradual build up, won't slide fully inside the bum
Cons
Low quality materials, light smell, cannot be completely cleaned
Sometimes when I am looking at toys here on EdenFantasies my eyes are much bigger than the capabilities of my poor butt. This is one of those toys that looked friggin' amazing on paper but when I actually saw it I cringed. I am an intermediate player but my butt takes much more convincing than some of my fellow players. Still, I reasoned, I could use some warm up toys and at least give it a go!
The Tripple Ripple by Doc Johnson is a hefty but still rather intermediate anal toy. It looks bigger than it feels, oddly enough, because it is composed of smooth rubber. The rubber can be compressed a bit and is more forgiving than my usual glass or hard silicone anal toys. There is a slight smell with this toy that does lessen over time but doesn't start out awful. It is not slick and oily like some cheaper rubber preparations. This bodes well but doesn't guarrantee that the toy is phthalates free, it probably isn't and a condom is a safety precaution that is easy to accommodate. It also makes the clean up much easier if you use a condom and the toy is made of rubber which is porous, all in all a condom is just a good idea.
The Ripple is just over 5 inches in total length with about 4.5 of those inches being insertable. The toy is about 5.5 inches around at it's widest so it is a challenge for all but the most experienced players. The base is oblong shaped and fits quite comfortably between the buttocks though it is a bit wider than I normally like for sitting on. The upside is it is unlikely your hungry butt will munch it up since it is significantly wider than the largest ripple. It measures roughly 2 inches wide and 3 inches long.
The tip of the Ripple is blunt and wide enough that your butt will register that something is there but not large enough to send your butt into fear spasms. The top ripple is tapered slowly in a bullet shape before gracefully pulling in before the next ripple. This 'neck' gives a great place for your butt to rest before the next ripple. The next ripple is shorter than the first and last but not appreciably wider. It also gradually increases maning that you can go super slow and allow ample time for your body to relax. Again, there is a 'neck' area for your butt to relax before the toy gradually flares out again to the largest bump. The increase is still very gradual and not overwhelming to the sphincter. My only real problem is there isn't a great area for the sphincter to grab hold of at the base of the toy leaving me feeling a bit over stretched. On the other hand this doesn't come shooting out during orgasm or while walking around so it's a minor concern.
The Ripple is made of rubber so it can tolerate whatever lube is your preferred favorite and it only takes a touch of this lube to get you started because this is such a smooth toy. I still recommend using a goodly amount of lube just because people seem to err on the side of too little rather than too much. Protect your delicate anal membranes!
Now comes the bad part tis is a rubber toy, it cannot be completely cleaned of all the bacteria and stuff lurking in even the cleanest of anal passages. You can boil, wipe it down with a 10% bleach/water solution, and even throw this in the top rack of your dishwasher but it isn't going to get everything. Your best bet is to wash this in hot water and soap before and after use and use a condom with it every time. This way you are protected from phthalates leaking out and bacteria growing on your toy. I do not recommend using rubber anal toys both vaginally and anally, and at this price you can afford to buy a seperate one for vaginal use.
Store the Ripple away from other rubber and jelly toys to prevent any interaction, it's rare but has been known to happen. You should also store rubber toys out of direct sunlight to prevent melting, warping and sun bleaching.

Experience
This toy is good for vagina owners who prefer some texture to their short, wide toys. This is actually long enough to reach almost the back wall of the vagina, and if your G spot is easily felt and manipulated this toy is firm enough to apply some pretty nice pressure. Obviously, there are some better vaginal toys out there but this one isn't too bad if you decide that your butt isn't ready for a toy this size.
It can be used in most harnesses pretty easily but we've found it works better with harnesses that don't have a backing on the O ring. If you lube the dildo slightly it slides easier into the O ring.
All in all despite the fact that it is made of such a low safety rating for materials this is a good little toy that can be replaced fairly easily when it starts to degrade. It doesn't have a rotten rubber smell and is fairly comfortable for extended wear if you take time to relube often. It provides some really different sensations when paired with PIV sex.

Follow-up commentary

This toy has been relegated to a vaginal toy because of it's large girth but all in all it is a pretty darn good vaginal toy! It is rubber so I cover it with a condom to prevent any transference of bacteria but when I want something fairly large this toy really suits.
It hasn't begun to show any wear and tear though it has been washed many times. It hasn't developed that icky oily shine either. I still recommend this toy to fellow toy users.

Thank you for viewing Triple ripple – butt plug review page!
I know all to well about eyes being bigger than my butt.
Wonderful review Airen.
As far as the shape, it's totally safe! The base is significantly wider than the largest portion of the toy meaning your butt won't be primed and ready to much it on up...as CarrieAnn pointed out butts are kinda dumb that way. This is a pretty substantial toy it's not going to be hard to hold onto or slip out of your lubed up fingers.
